Good Points: Before this they were just another indie band. Now they had come out with a great record.

Bad Points: Tracks which you wish were shorter are too long and tracks you wish were longer are too short.

General comments: Before Final Straw, Snow Patrol were a half-decent relocated band that looked like the next major disappointment in the music industry. But this album got them right back on track with such gorgeous songs as Run and Chocolate.

Snow Patrol, Final Straw was an album I purchased purely on the suggestion of a friend, who was quite insistent without necessarily being 100% up my street in terms of music taste. Thankfully I was in a charitable mood that day... I think I listen to this album as much as anything else a year on and it's how these things stand the test of time that is the real key to their quality.
I know the other reviewers have done a sterling job of explaining the high points of this album, as well as menti ...

I reluctantly listened to this album, only forced by my pushy brother, and I'm so so glad that he let me listen to it, it is now by far my favourite album and I'm now more open to listening to different types of music rather than sticking with one type.

Snow Patrol, Final Straw - I brought this album because iIhad heard the singles 'Run' and 'Spitting Games' and had fell in love with them. I only had to listen to the CD once to make up my mind that it is the best CD that I own. It was definitely worth the money and I think it is a great investment.

I like the new CD by Snow Patrol, "Final Straw." It's a cool CD, I am a fan of the Indie Rock genre and this CD definitely fits it. It is a mellow, but still an entertainment album. It's not too hard, but not too soft. It is just right for the ear. Some of my favorite songs on the CD includes: "Wow", "Whatever's Left", and "Chocolate." I highly recommend this CD to everyone, especially if you are into Badly Drawn Boy and other artists that are similar. This album gets thumbs up from me.

After hiding in the shadows throughout overlooked albums "Songs about Polar bears" and "When its all over we have to clear up", Snow Patrol have finally been recognised for their tasteful approach to indie music, and entertained us with their debut album, "Final Straw", including the debut singles, "Run" and "Spitting Games". Final Straw gives a generous helping of an example of today's best indie music, displaying both sensitive and unsympathetic faces. Although it may be necessary to listen r ...
