Good Points: Extensive variety Emotive Reflective of their time's benefits to the music scene Big songs - really have a genuine presence
Bad Points: Not a great amount of material Nothing deeply catchy
General comments: From 'All You Good Good People' to 'Make It Last', where have the last 7 years taken Embrace? 7 years, has it really been that long? These folks have managed to inspire some great emotion, appealing to all genres of music lovers. Their moving ballads such as 'My Weakness Is None Of Your Business' just reflect a 'ballad-driven' time when slow can be powerful, and their funkier rockier songs alert those who would dismiss them as Oasis wannabes to their sheer range of influence and technique. In many ways, 'Fireworks' also draws attention to their short-lived repertoire, but when it's this good why not slap it together and release it for those who want some condensed McNamaran beauty? 'Wonder' hits the spot even with haters of the band, while 'Save Me' and 'Hooligan' bring Richard into his own as a vocalist (and he ain't too shabby).
Look lively if you haven't heard these guys, there really is something here for all.
