After a gigantic musical selection of albums that I have, I thought I knew the real meaning of alternative and experimental rock, but after hearing this album, I was amazed by its originality and variety of sounds.
The album, Odelay has a perfect beat of drums in the whole album which makes it a good piece for all the drummers to hear. Other contents such as guitar, vocals, bass and other experimental noises are greatly interpreted into the album. Actualy the instruments I've heard are: Drums, Guitar, Base, Saxophone, Violin, Turntables, Piano and Synth. So the variety of instruments is great and that what makes the album so original and experimental.
Overall, Beck's Odelay is certainly a great album with points of originality and especially, in my opinion, the drum parts. So if people are looking for real Experimnental and Alternative sounds, they should listen to this.
