Good points: very easy to use and install, reliable, fast, quiet, doesn't skip that much

bad points: a little pricey, the ROM window breaks easily, can't recognize some CDs/DVDs especially those with different protective coating.

Overall: It's an average copier, if you don't have any choice, NEC is a good alternative.

The NEC NR-7700A works great with Nero V5 and V6, hates EsayCD Creator. Buts lots of CD's with this, only crashed when comp crashed.

Crashed out with an Bios Atapi Error, after 2 years, had to install 1.06 firmware update.

Not so good CD-RW at a high price. Choose something else.

Well I burned over 1300 CDs with this NEC NR-7700A CDRW and ruined only 10-15 CDs, and 5 CDs were when I was trying to burn CD with EasyCD Creator 5 Platinum in XP (Easy CD doesn't work under XP).

Well low price and it burns and burns without making a mistake if someone asks me.

I recently bought a new ACER 20X12X48, well it is much more expensive here in SLO than a NEC and I can't see the diference between them.
ACER also needs 5-8 mins for a CD.

So the next CDRW I am buying is a NEC! ...
