    Bad points of novatech: used and faulty products are sold as new and sales people are dishonest and cheeky! Bought graphics card few months ago for £196 that was supposed to be new at their retail store, when I opened the box parts were missing. Installed the card, first it didn't work at all, no power, than it started working, died the next day.
    I knew my system was not playing with me because I've already tried my mates card which is the same model and same manufacturer. Replaced that one at their retail store for another one and asked the sales person is this one new because the box looked a bit worn but neatly sealed in plastic and because the first one was obviously used, the answer was that they got it today, guy said, "if this one is not working than I don't know"! Got home, opened the box, I was screwed again but I thought I just want a working card even if it was used, installed it, worked for a few mins than I got blue screen and then after rebooting I had artefacts on desktop and games wouldn't load, instead it only result was the blue screen, great a!? Reinstalled Windows and had the same results. I explained all the faults and also told them that they shouldn't sell the returned stuff to anyone because there's a reason they are returned. Got the refund in the end and that was a painful process too and the sales person said, "Better luck next time mate" with a cheeky grin on his face. They lied to me twice and I think that is more than enough to put someone off. Terrible experience!!! Ordered the same card on E-buyer, it was new with all the bits in the box and it works a treat.
    I wouldn't use them anymore, not even to buy a single screw if you ask me.

    I have bought from Novatech several times in the past and all orders have gone through great!I ordered a GigaByte GA-P35C-DS3R motherboard for my new system. After two weeks the motherboard began to die, it wouldn't start properly (took about 5 attempts to get it to post), BSODs every 20 minutes etc... I opened up Novatech's site and opened an RMA.     I've shopped there for a few years now and have never had any problems.Delivery is prettey quick, returns are pretty quick and the customer service is pretty good.

    I bought a laptop from Novatech about 2 months ago. The X15GS Pro Model, 1.8ghz core 2 duo, 2gb ram, 200gb hard drive, 17" screen and a nvidia 9300GS graphics chipset. I ordered the laptop over the phone, and asked for their buy now pay 9 months later deal. The employee on the other end of their sales line said yes right away, and we belived it was all setup.     Although pricing is reasonable, I feel their website can be very misleading and unclear on certain points including delivery and the manufacturer of some items. Some items are marked as Novetech as it's brand. However, these products appear to be a lower branded product that they call their own, which may not be the case.

    I went into novatech at the weekend to buy a new motherboard and processor; before so i reserved the products which said they were available. when i got there they only had one of the two. I told the man that was working there and he seemed angry with me and told me i had done it wrong. After this he showed me how to reserve items (i just wanted to buy the stuff).     I have used Novatech for a long time (I live pretty close) and my opinion has been steadily declining. As they have expanded it appears they have had to keep an eye on prices to the point where they are no longer the cheapest. I think the biggest bugbear is that they do not seem to post negative comments on their website.     Novatech Direct Ltd - Great customer service, rapid delivery on agreed dates, returns system operates well. Uses delivery as a marketing tool - sometimes free, sometimes not. Reliable supplier offering competive pricing and products.

    They are a company that have the odd niggle, I'm giving them a 10 for the quality of being able to sort them out in time, have been shopping with them for 15 years now, and only go elsewhere if they don't stock the item I want.

    Bought a new high-end PC from them last October (over 2000) and it turned out to be a bad decision. It has been really bad from the start, hardly any programs will load, the dvd drives will not read (have had to purchase new ones from a different source). I have had to reinstall the OS twice in 5 months, thats after having to wait two weeks for a start up disc to come. Too many problems to list.

    I have found novatech to be up there as one of the best for products service and delivery .as I have said I have had nothing go wrong with any of the items ive purchased. So I dont know how good they are sorting out faulty items, but nothing leads me to think
    they will fall down in this area with their service either?

    I've placed a total of four orders with Novatech and two of them have resulted in problems! The first was for a cd writer that was supplied with bundled software - not much use if you haven't bought a bundle! The second was for a Clearance Special PC advertised on their website as ICON PRO 'dual core' processor, 1024MB, WIRELESS keyboard and mouse.

    Purchased a Novatech 550W PSU from Novatech August 2007. Impressed with the fan until it broke. Novatech sent out an "equivalent" replacement PSU which is the noisiest power supply I have ever encountered. My Dyson vacuum cleaner is quieter!

    I bought a laptop a few years ago, and it performed like a dog. It was a 2.66 ghz P4, and others I've used have performed well. I've since bought a Toshiba, which I like, so I decided to dismantle the Novatech one. On examining the components, it appears that the processors bus speed (533) is in excess of the capability of the RAM.     I paid a premium for next day delivery, but the item was delivered 4 days late. The computer repeatedly crashed, so I contacted them and arranged a return. I was then issued you with a partial refund which surprised me. I contacted customer service and they advised me I had failed to return the item in full. After some persuasion the advisor agreed to call returns, and after 15 minutes on hold I was advised that an error had been made and a full refund would be offered.

    I have had numerous problems with Novatech, they are a good company most of the time, and are relativly cheap. Iwould not recommend them as much now after the troubles I have had but do not underestimate how good Novatech can be.

    Novatech Direct may be ok for computers but dont buy an l.c.d from them.I bought two computers one 17"moniter, a 32"GTEC LCD television. The 32" tv developed a problem with the colour sent it back as requested for a replacement. They now say it's been damaged in transit by their carrier and will not supply a replacement will only repair.     I bought a Hyundai LCD TV from Novatech Direct which they had back within 5 days for a fault they claim they cannot find. I was told to refer it to the manufacturer as they didn't believe there was a fault. The manufacturer is in Germany and has no UK support, and frankly neither does Novatech. Now I have a TV that has a tantrum at start up for several minutes before settling down, and a supplier who doesn't care.

    I've ordered loads from Novatech Direct Ltd (www.novatech.co.uk) over the past 4 years, and yes, I've occasionally had things go wrong, however they are always willing to help out, and have never neglected to help or send out replacements. Their Technical support is always very helpful friendly and accomodating, which is exactly what I need when I'm sitting at home pulling my hair out when I can't get something to work!
