Good Points: Takes better pictures than some more expensive cameras

Bad Points: Doesn't take a succession of photos quickly enough i.e. trying to catch a dolphin coming out of the water and then back into the water

General comments: The Fuji Finepix M603 is an excellent camera overall. I have recommended it to many of my friends. One of my friends said it is much better than his much more expensive camera.

Really good point and shoot camera
Bought a 128 & 256mb xd cards a while back but was not very happy to find out Fuji have brought out updated xd cards which does not support this camera
I'm not sure if larger size compact flash 2 will run ok either instead of using microdrives which are old technology

I have owned the Fuji Finepix M603 Camera since March 2004. I photograph mostly insects and I have found the macro facility more than adequate for most uses. Picture quality matches more sophisticated cameras. Video clips in 640 x 480 are nearly as good as digital video. Just needs better zoom. Pity an updated version of this camera was never made.

The Fuji Finepix M603 camera was 13 months old when it stopped charging and the red light just kept flashing.
Fuji refused to repair it for less than £151.00 as they charge £99.00 once they open it and find the fault they told me.
The same fault re-occured after 10 months when it was sent off again.
This time a refurbished model was sent as a replacement free of charge. We understood why it was called refurbished as the screen was quite badly scratched but we needed the cam ...

I think the Fuji Finepix M603 is a camera that does certain things very well and it's up to you to decide if those things are what you are seeking. In my case they were. I'm not interested in a viewfinder so the oversized screen that this has instead is great.

I wanted video quality film capability and at 30 frames per second this gives it along with up to large scale storage using the IBM Microdrive...though the media cards are enough for most things to be honest.

The dual card format i ...

This camera is a freak. The Fuji Finepix M603 has so many excellent qualities yet for some reason Fuji has not taken the M603's excellent features into later models. Where can you get dual media slots? I currently have a 1Gig microdrive plus a 256 X-D Card. This is great and I can't wait to get bigger cards in the future. The 2.5 inch LCD is luxury. Without exception people compliment me on the size of the LCD and the quality. It has beautiful colours and is easy to view, even in very bright con ...

I have owned a Fuji M603 for nearly two years. It was very expensive when I purchased it. I think the price has come down a lot now. The picture quality is outstanding and with a choice so many settings. I still haven't learnt how to use it to its full potential yet. But I'm very pleased with it.

I have owned this Fuji Finepix M603 digital camera for over a year and although there are hundreds of new models available I find no need to upgrade. I own an early Epson 1 megapixel model which is a backup (the kids use it). IT cost over £230 - £10 less than the Fuji M603. The Fuji is excellent. It saves photos quickly and has a useful zoom and macro mode. The video mode is 30 mins with a 1Gb microdrive - this was given FOC in the £612 package from QVC, and this is adequate fo ...
