Use one piece scope mount and locktite 262 on all screws.
Dove tail cut on barrel is plenty deep enough. This gun is not for young boys it is the size of a Remington 700. Best purchase I have made in a long time.
Nice wood stock, right weight for hunting, shoots within a dime at 30 yards. Feels like a real rifle not an air rifle. Great balance and well made. Have the .177 and will buy the .22 soon.
Open sights are good but not great. Put a 3x9x40 leaper scope on it and you will absolutely love this gun.

At 40 feet I could keep all shots in a dime sized circle all day long with iron sights. The front sight is a fiber optic strand and very easy to see. The fit and finish of the gun is perfect and it is a real classic. I love this air rifle. It has Great Power....Fine Accuracy...and for now anyway (until the supply of it at this price is exausted) an unbelievable price for what it's worth. I mean it was even sighted dead on at the factory....What more could you ask ? I think it is the best buy in ...- Read Louie Orduna's review (217 words and 1 comment)

The front end sight mount screw holes go all the way through to the inside of the barrel and I think this is throwing of the accuracy. although i believe this could be a defect from the factory. I have had the pellets break in two pieces leaving two holes in the target. I'm going to see if I can get a new barrel if that won't settle it, I'll return it and get something else. Too bad really as I like the power of this gun.- Read Holly barrel's review (149 words)

My first air rifle in many years. After going over the reviews of other air rifles I took a chance on the Mendoza and am quite satisfied. Value for dollar is good. 129.95 from Kittery. I've topped it off with a vintage Weaver B4 and getting 1/2" groups at 20 yards out of the box using RWS superdomes. Trigger pull is 2.5lbs. and breaking in nicely.- Read Guest's review (84 words)

After reading many reviews I took a chance on the Mendoza and what a surprise. It hasn't stomped me in the dirt or put out my eardrums. Value for dollar is huge. I bought mine from Kittery for 129.95.I've topped this gun off with a vintage Weaver B4 and am getting 1/2 groups at 20 yards out of the box with RWS Superdomes.Trigger pull is 2.5 lbs. and is breaking in nicely.- Read William3's review (94 words)

I bought the RM 600 with the synthetic stock from Pyramid Air. Light weight and powerful. Good trigger pull. No accuracy. My best group at 3 (three) meters was 1.5 inches. I pushed a pellet slowly through the barrel with a cleaning rod to feel for any problems. At the very end of the barrel was quite a rough spot. I Had to push firmly to get the pellet through. I'm sure this bad spot is throwing the pellets off.
The "synthetic" stock was quite a surprise. After seperating the action from ...- Read CXD4's review (190 words)

This is just a quick review I will expand after my break in period. Overall I am VERY satisfied with this air gun. I have sent back two Chinese made air guns and was concerned that a Mexican built air gun might posses the extreme lack of quality control that the Chinese one did. But to my pleasant surprise It is more than satisfactory. The finish is good however, not as nice as my Gamo Maxima (although, the Gamo Maxima has the nicest finish I have ever seen on a air gun under $400!) Definitly no ...- Read giancarlopoli's review (537 words and 1 comment)

The Mendoza RM-600 Magnum takes about 1,500 rounds to break / sight in with my Bushnell 4-12 X 40. Grackles drop like a rock at 45yards when it is on. It is a little scary in that it will go thru two Cedar fences like butter.
I was shooting seagulls out at the lake from 140 yards out. All the shots were either high or low but dead on east to west.
This may be too extreme of a Springer for a lot of people. It has an extensive kill zone but needs constant attention. Going out and missin ...- Read BriarRabbit's review (236 words and 2 comments)

The Mendoza RM-600 Magnum was my second Springer having moved a step up from an inexpensive Winchester 800X. The power increase was a nice jump for a very moderate increase in cost. I loved the shape and styling of the piece.
Workmanship:
Their workmanship of the exterior was very good. The Beech stock has a nice even finish and the bluing was consistent. Overall it a good looking gun.
The interior workmanship was mediocre. When I kept seeing the dieselling and that irritating twang, I deci ...- Read GreggB's review (432 words)

I just bought the Mendoza and I love it, it is so powerful and accurate, but its heavy. It kicks pretty good and can be hard to sight in by yourself. But once you've got it sighted in it's radical and can be deadly to anything in your crosshairs. I recommend this gun for anyone who is seeking a powerful gun whether it's for plinkin cans or hunting.- Read 880's review (79 words)

I am quite happy with the Mendoza RM-600 Magnum. The squirrels are not. Dead center of a Grackle @ about 45 yards. The accuracy seems to be settling nicely after about 350 shots. The heavy Kodiaks seem to respond well, but I am still checking a variety of pellets. Penetration is ideal for squirrels and large birds. Will tear a finch in half. I worry about long term durability (from reading blogs and reviews about Mendozas), but we shall see.- Read curt9733's review (86 words and 2 comments)

My Mendoza RM 600 is a great gun. It is equipped with everything you need to shoot. Extreme power, excellent accuracy, and is equipped with a great scope. It is a very good gun for its price. I have killed three red-squirrels with it, and iced a bluejay at 50 yards. Overall, the Mendoza RM 600 is a great air rifle. I've owned a Crosman Quest 1000x, and the Mendoza makes it look like a toy. I hope the Quest is doing okay in the dump.- Read Tbird's review (122 words)

Had little success getting my first Mendoza RM-600 to shoot straight. I found it very hard to believe a 250.00 rifle and scope combo could perform so poorly. Especially with the RWS 450 scope!! I returned it for another. This one is just as bad. What can I say? Other than this rifle is garbage! Sorry Mendoza. The only thing I can say about this product is that it is the most unsafe tool I've ever held in my hands. Not worth a cent due to inaccuracy. If I should be using heavier pellets due to i ...- Read ranchero's review (132 words and 5 comments)

The Mendoza RM-600 Magnum is well balanced and shoots nice with little recoil. The gun came with a brake which quiets the shot so all you hear is the spring action. I would compare this gun to a RWS 350, but at about half the price. Velocity and accuracy are better than my Wichester 1000x, and the trigger effort is smooth and consistant 2.5 lbs.(light), so shooting straight is effortless. I purchased this under the assumption it was made by RWS. It was actually made by a Mexican company called M ...- Read KillDaWabbit's review (147 words and 3 comments)
