Good Points: 1.An insight into the way the wrestling business works. 2. A means by which Hulk can give his side of the story on controversial issues 3.A must read for all Hulkamaniacs! 4.One truly feels like one knows Hulk Hogan...the man behind the character. 5.Very, very real.Graphic on some places. 6.Good use of humour, and generlly written as the Hulkster would talk.
Bad Points: 1.Use of profanity in excess...I'm OK, but a lot of Hulkamaniacs are kids, you know! 2. ...there is no second point!!
General comments: Though wrestling is scripted, it still entails great sacrifices of mind and body.Pain can be lessened, not eradicated.Over a career spanning two decades , Hulk Hogan has been involved in many friendships and rivalries, in and outside of the squared circle. In fact, he wasn't even sure he wanted to be a wrestler, as a child.
He recounts how he changed pro-wrestling with his amazing physique--he was the first wrestler to be as well built as he was. His body-building helped tremendously in making people think of him as a Charles Atlas of sorts.
It was most definitely not a bed of roses; fighting past professional jealousies, egoes, and false pride to get to the top; but once he got there, he stayed there.
He recounts with regret his mistakes as "a businessman", with special reference to the steroid trials...is baffled why some people hate him as much as they do...but nothing can compare to his bewilderment, and everlasting gratitude towards his fans, who have loved him through thick and thin.
One does not have to be a "Hulkamaniac" to enjoy the book.A reasonable knowledge of wrestling would be enough to make a person enjoy this book...and add him to Hulk's horde of hulkamaniacs.

Read about Hulk Hogan - the man who helped the WWE/WWF to what it is today! Read about Wrestlemania 1 in 1985 when he teamed up with the A-Teams own Mr-T all the way up to Wrestlemania 18 when he faced the people champion the Rock! NOT forgetting his time in WCW and all the wrestling legends you can think of are in this book! such as Bret Hart, the Ultimate Warrior, Randy Savage and loads more.
