Good Points: Excellent build quality, Good looks, Good sound

Bad Points: There is slight "Chuffing" with some music.

General comments: There is no doubt the Kef Cresta 10's are a superb buy, for the price. If you want a budget pair of speakers that are a good build, and sound quality then the KEF Cresta 10's will please you.

They are well built, solid, good looking rear ported, and bi-wireable.
The clarity is really good, but could do with a little more detail to vocals and maybe more treble for extra clarity, although they are already really good. The bass response is excellent for the size and price. The bass is something you would expect to hear from floorstanding speakers. To optimise the bass response I suggest having them at ear level on stands and about 30cm away from a wall.

One small problem is that you might find they "Chuff" a little bit, with really bassy music, but this problem can be solved with the foam cylinders to put in the bass port. This reduces "Chuffing" to a minimum.

For the pirce: £60 quid from Richersounds, they are excellent!!

I bought a pair of Kef Cresta 1 in cherry from Richer sounds for £49. Apart from the excellent price, the sound was superb, the balance between the bass and treble was perfect, they need to be positioned about 200mm from the wall for the bass to be right, too close and the bass is boomy too far away, not enough bass.
The build quality is also excellent.
a well finished good looking speaker.

My Dad purchased these Kef Cresta 1 speakers about a year ago and he has been very pleased with them. I used to own an old pair of KEF Caprice II and they too sounded very good. I like them too

I purchased these Kef Cresta 1 speakers in cherry as rear speakers for my home cinema system and I am very impressed with the quality of sound. They also sound great in a small room as main speakers (I tried them in the bedroom also). Very good value for money.

These little beauties are great sounding small speakers,
I bought them to use as rear surrounds in my home cinema
setup, but tried them out with my main system first
( Marantz Cd / Dac in the Box / Arcam Delta 290 )
and they gave a great sound, the stereo imaging was better
than my main B&W speakers, I was almost sorry to unhook
them and put them on my AV amp.
