Good Points: A veritable treasure trove of retro goodies...
Bad Points: ...or a pile of junk depending on your viewpoint!
General comments: Ahh, fuzzy felt, slinky springs, top trumps and stink bombs...I think I'm in nostalgia heaven! letsgoretro.com caters for the nostalgic shopper, the camp-loving shopper and the shopper just on the mooch for general cheesy kitsch to brighten up their lives. To one person's eyes it's a site full of trash,to another, it's absolutely fantastic! I'm one of the latter...
This is another site I stumbled across because of the regular competitions they run (check these out too) and was impressed by their garish, flowerpower style and decided to have a look around while I was there. Wow, cool stuff everywhere! The site isn't exactly the most professional looking, but itis relatively easy to navigate and that all important ordering process is simple and the goods do arrive on time - not fast, but on time.
As I said, they most cater for camp, retro items, although many have a modern spin. Top Trumps for example, come in varieties such a The Simpsons or Lord Of The Rings cards instead of the (looking back on it, rather naff!) varieties like tractors(!) and planets whcih I rememer from my childhood. You'll also find things like movie posters, giant games and executive toys and all at rather reasonable prices too. No it's not cheap here, but the items are generally rather small so nothing is hugely expensive.
Overall, if you are looking for something a little different or just fancy a browse then this site is ideal.
