Right.. Fear Factory's Obsolete has to be the best metal-concept album I've heard since Vo vod's Dimension Hatr ss, and that's saying something! Lot's of the stuff on this album is reminiscent of other songs/artists, like Vo vod (Smasher/Devourer, Shock) and Rush (Resurrection). I can't recommend this album enough if you're at all into metal and sci-fi. Fear Factory, Obsolete The best album, from an excellent band, songs are very heavy, yet not completely overpowering. The production is the best of any of the current F.F albums, and the material is more diverse than on previous albums. Although, in my opinion the digipak version should be avoided. Yes 'Cars' and the rest of the bonus tracks are quite entertaining the first couple of times you hear them, but there's a reason they weren't on the 'main' release of the album, and that is that...
