Good Points: Style is timelessHas reached collector statusUnique blend of reliable technology with some challenges for those that just enjoy pure mechanics as a hobbyRelatively easy to find parts
Bad Points: Easy to blow the charger if you abuse or ignore its vital signsNeed to watch it as it is still on the procurement list Friend will pester you to let them take it outConstant agony of trying to avoid want to modify itToo bad VW did not make this a RWD
General comments: The Volkswagen Corrado G60 Supercharged is an awesome car. It is one I had been looking for some time and luckily found one that had not been molested and very low mileage. Although I had initial thoughts to modify it, it is in such great shape that I have decided to keep it stock. There are just too few of these left that have not been worked over to become tuners and racers. So a good stock profile is a keeper now that it is being billed as a collector. In stock profile it sports modest speed but superb handling. Its demeanor, low profile, and swing back design turns heads, and promotes curious question from on-lookers. It does take a bit of mechanical and diagnostic ability to maintain one now that it is getting up in age. OEM parts are still relatively easy to find and there is plenty of information throughout the web in forum and video that one can tap for routine maintenance. The cult following on this car made sure that they kept each other well informed.

The Volkswagen Corrado G60 is an awesome car. I've owned G60 and VR6 and am now getting my second G60 after a year away from Corrado's. VR6 was an awsome car, but the potential with the G60 just draws me back. The Corrado is a classic car now. Timeless design, sleek looks and will get peoples heads turning. Reasonably quick stock, monster if tuned! So much torque low down, then the charger really takes over and sucks you into your seat. BEST handling I've ever had on a car (altho I did have Coil ...- Read Guest's review (118 words)

I love this car! It handles extremely well and the automatic spoiler is totally awesome. The supercharger in mine blew up so I had to take it out and extend the intake but the thing stills goes off like a bullet! It may only have 158 hp but it is easily upgraded if you have a couple hundred dollars, a performance chip and a g60 upgrade kit (maybe $400) gets you to 215 hp easy and only goes up from there. Seating is tight, but that ' s what I like it makes you feel like you are part of the car be ...- Read dylanp723's review (272 words)

The G60 is the car for the Tuner as standard they are Fantastic handlers but are slow, But for not a lot of money they will absolutely Fly, Mine has coilovers, Stainless exhaust, Stage 4 Supercharger and Head, Race engine mounts and 4-2-1 manifold, With this little lot it goes well, and i originally bought it with the intention of not modifing it! But I couldn`t resist it. It is far cheaper to modifiy than the VR6, I love the noise, You really dont need a sound system. Even when the car has play ...- Read txj220's review (338 words)

The Volkswagen Corrado G60 Supercharged looks fantastic and sounds even better. This has got to be the fastest car I've ever driven. It's the only car I know to turn as many heads and I wouldn't change it for anything else. Not sure what modifications it's had but I get it up to 140mph and yet it still feels like it wants to pull.
Would favour this above any other Volkswagen.- Read driver123's review (133 words)

My corrado G60 has been bored out to 1915cc, dry sumped, lightened and balanced, race pistons, high flow-big valve head and race cam with vernier pulleys. The super charger is now at stage 4 with very small pulley and an expensive remap and super chip. The latest addition was £2k worth of coilovers, which helps put the 260bhp (dino proven) power to the road. I recommend you use a high octane petrol for smoth power delivery. this car is useless without decent tyres (recommended Avon super s ...- Read j brooks's review (123 words)

This Volkswagen Corrado G60 Supercharged car is 2150 lbs and 180 hp with g60 intake headers and exhaust. It gets up to a gruesome 14.156 seconds in a quarter mile with top speeds of 141 at speedway. 2nd gear is a beast, I ate a Toyota Supra Turbo on Saw Mill going 70 mph, then threw it in 3rd, I hardly even saw the poor thing! It decimates other vehicles.- Read dinzvwdreamer's review (65 words)

Fantastic car, really deserves a look if you in the market for a coupe.
The Volkswagen Corrado G60 Supercharged makes a very very nice noise, although needs servicing every 50k if standard. It really is worth it though. Mine has done 180k and is still going strong.
When buying always check for extra's. e.g leather, recaros, ABS etc. Rust isn't really a problem on corrados as if i remember correctly they are galvanised. Colours such as nugget yellow and Aubergine are rarer and look am ...- Read g60rich's review (262 words)

I have owned my Volkswagen Corrado G60 for about a year and a half, the car is brilliant! After getting a RS2 charger chip and pulley + other engine work the car is a beast i eat VR6's!!! I also replaced the factory suspension with a set of adjustable coilovers and lowered it by 110mm.- Read daaano's review (66 words)

I've owned my VW Corrado G60 for 5 years now and I still get a buzz every time I get behind the wheel. Having been looked after properly with regular servicing and the use of a quality oil (Mobil 1 - essential for looking after that supercharger)its performance is just as sharp and responsive as ever. Lots of torque right through the rev range with a top speed of 140 mph, 0-60 in under 8 sec with ~160bhp at 3500revs - enough to blow off most boy racers from the lights and does well even at the t ...- Read Jon's review (250 words and 1 comment)
