this album is one of many sorts. Its opener stinkfist with some weird high pitched artificial noise is very catchy and brilliant song altogether 46 & 2 is good and a bit strange/mysterious AEnima in itslef is quite a good one too then there is third eye wich is long good and a bit "scary".

this album does take a bit to get used to because it is really quite strange
but emotional and freaking out of this world complex drum beats and skills from our best ever drummer danny carey good strong vocals from maynard and others with distrortion and keen sounds i wouldn't disagree that this is an enjoyful album and tracks like H are good and make you want to listen to them again but then you wanna get on with the rest of the album.

However anyonec else put it this album is completely different and unique to any other it is very good but it is a little strange

'Tool' are excellent. Full stop. And 'Aenima' is a stunning album. So much feel and presence, allied with excellent musicianship and song writing. Only reason I've given it 9 and not 10 out of 10, is 'Lateralus'. Which is the pinnacle of progressive metal. Overall though 'Aenima' is an essential purchase. Buy it!

Tool's Aenima isn't as good as La Te Ra Lus, but it does nevertheless have some astonishing songs on, such as 46 & 2 and Eulogy.
46 & 2 is one of they're best songs ever.
This is essential if you already have La Te Ra Lus, but La Te Ra Lus is the best, most perfect album in the world. I own this album purely for the 2 songs I just mentioned, 46 & 2 and Eulogy.

★★★★★

Basically, Aenima is Tool's Best album. It contains all of their best qualities rolled into a 70 minute CD. The starting track, Stinkfist, reveals the vocalists, Maynard James Keenan, true abilites.
Track 5 is Forty-Six and 2. This Song is unbelivably catchy. You'll find your self humming along to it and singing the lyrics all the time. And then there is Aenima, Best Song Ever! Awsome guitar and drum work. Great lyrics and a power we have yet to see from Tool.
All in all, this CD is Tools best CD. It's still my favourite CD of all time and for good reason.

written by rockwild86 on 12/03/2004

Tool's masterful Aenima is emotional, cryptic, mystical, potent, powerful, and by far the best metal album I've ever heard. Maynard and company are the best at what they do and this album is highly recommended to anyone and everyone who has a penchant for complex, indescribably potent metal.

This is beyond words...

Buy Aenima now!!!
