Good Points: Trash is what I'd call Alice Cooper's great comeback. The release was made after "Raise your fist and yell" which is also a very good piece of work, is what Alice cooper's all about. The collaboration of various artists such as Aerosmith, Bon Jovi and Kip Winger brings an ultimate variety of sense and skill to this album. When it comes to backing vocals, Alice Cooper immediately comes to mind. The brilliance of background vocals can be traced to earlier works like Schools Out. Just by looking at the great names of backing vocalists in Trash, you easily imagine the outcome.
Bad Points: Frankly nothing. Many might say that Alice Cooper is too commercial. I'd say, even so, he's nicely commercial. You don't usually get both the commercial aspect and art at the same time. This happens when it comes to Alice Cooper and Trash is no exception.
General comments: Alice Cooper, Trash: "Poison" which is a true Hard Rock classic is the highlight. Trash provides a great range from ballad (It's only my heart talking) to heavy metal (bed of nails) so a variety of listeners can enjoy the album. Having this variety you still find a piece of original Alice Cooper in each song.
The lyrics are what you'd expect from Alice Cooper, beautiful poetry as I would put it.
