Good Points: Size and shape is good. Easy to read and navigate.
Bad Points: Wish I could make it louder sometimes.
General comments: I have had this phone for about 6 years and it has served me well. It needs replacing at this point and I just hate to give it up.

I had the Motorola T720 less than 6 months and the hinge just broke while I was in the middle of a call. I was told it would cost $200 to fix the phone when that's how much it cost to buy it in the first place. I didn't abuse the phone. Their is no reason it should have broken the way it did.- Read kristinalstewart's review (97 words)

Can not stress enough how bad the Motorola T720 is. Do not on any account buy it. Expected better of Motorola but they obviously left something out of this phones main circuit!
It all starts going horribly wrong after about 6 months.- Read bigpigpixie's review (82 words and 1 comment)

As above I am delighted with my T720. I have not had any of the problems as above. I do agree it can get dust under that screen, but that is simple to fix, take off the cover and use a blower-brush to clean it!- Read alex28144's review (59 words)

Motorola T720 - Do not ever buy this phone. If you talk for 35 minutes, you (or your party) will have to call at least seven times. The signal starts fading (no, it's not the actual signal, it's the phone itself) after about 5 minutes. Then it will get disconnected. It will make you so embarrassed as if you are talking from some old village town. The keys are not very user-friendly either. It will take you an hour to find your own phone number. Everything has been made so complicated that you wo ...- Read ditya6um's review (115 words)

I love the lightweight flip design of the Motorola T720 mobile phone- just open and talk. And when you're done, just flip to hang up.
The alarm is great - if I'm cooking a meal and have to leave for a bit, it will remind me when my food is ready.
Great reception.
I've never lost a call.
The color screen is clear and colorful, but when the sun shines on it it is hard to see.
I used to have a Motorola 120 and it had the best cell reception of the 5 cell phones in my family. And t ...- Read calypso78's review (152 words)

Avoid the Motorola T720 phone at all costs. I have encountered numerous problems, as summarized above, and Motorola has refused to honor heir warranty obligations based upon a specious and inaccurate claim of "liquid damage," despite the statement of a Cingular technician (after visual inspection and testing) that no such damage was in any way evident. (The tech further informed me that Motorola appears to routinely deny warranty claims on this basis).- Read Cellular Sam's review (89 words)

First, I think it is very interesting that all the negative reviews on this site score negative on 'respect.'Is Motorola the only one that takes the time to rate these things?
I've had my Motorola T720 mobile phone for 1.5 years and have had the same troubles as reported here and elsewhere. I decided not to return my phone while it was under warrantee for fear that I would get an even worse phone in the exchange. Now that my warantee has expired, my phone has gotten even worse.
On the ...- Read chemwitch's review (140 words)

The Motorola T720 is by far the worst mobile phone I have ever had. I've had it for a year and both chargers have failed on me (I keep getting an "Unable to Charge" error now), the battery life is nowhere near a full day, reception is miserable - calls drop for no reason - and the thing turns itself off if I look at it in the wrong way. It's slow and unresponsive. My Samsung phone was better than this piece of junk. I can only say that I am now back in the market looking for another phone. Stay ...- Read idubrawsky's review (142 words)

I am glad to see that other people share my frustration with this Motorola T720 mobile phone. I have had it replaced once, and decided not to get it replaced again for fear of losing my phonebook and ring tones. And then I have to wait till my plan runs out until I can buy a new phone at a decent price. Although the phone is small and fits easily to my jeans pocket, it is not worth the hassle. It randomly shuts off even when it is fully charged, the battery does not last long at and now for ...- Read crazylilhokie41's review (128 words)

The Motorola T720 disconnects from caller when you open. The time on the mobile phone changes constantly.
Will turn phone off while charging and stop charging.
Screen goes black 50% of the time.
Call waiting works when it wants to. Not the service dealed with consumer service for hours.
Loses the service for no reason.

I purchased the Motorola T720 mobile phone approximately 10 months ago, and have the following observations:-
PROS
----
The handset is aesthetically very pleasing, although fragile looking.
The display is good, and the menus easy to navigate, although a little sluggish to respond at times. The unit illuminated superbly in low-light conditions.
The predictive text facility was a joy to use, and I found the quick notes facility very useful.
CONS
The diary was Easy to navigate ...- Read StuartWest's review (228 words)

I love the lightweight flip design of the Motorola T720 mobile phone- just open and talk.
The datebook is great - between my Palm Pilot and my phone I shouldn't forget a thing.
I set my phone to alarm me every day at 9:30 so I won't forget to take my pills.
Great reception.
I've never lost a call.
Covers are interchangable - I found a pretty lavendar cover and a lavendar wrist strap (that attaches easily to the phone) at www.cellphoneshop.com.
Coming from a Motorola 120 I think this phone ...- Read jjhagner's review (136 words and 1 comment)

Ever since I first recieved this Motorola T720 mobile phone it has been a nightmare. After all the dropped calls. and broken atennas. the whole thing stopped working. I have returned the non working phone 3 times under warranty. Everytime I would build my phonebook back up it would stop working completly. The screen has little color compared to other color phones and a unbearably quiet ringtone even on loud setting. Plus dust gets in the screen and you cant get it out!- Read number elevan's review (106 words and 1 comment)

I am frustrated with this Motorola T720 mobile phone on a daily basis now. The Phone is too quiet. Even on loudest setting I miss calls.
It doesn't come with any cable to allow you to import numbers, update software (OS, games etc).
I have noticed this will drop calls sometimes and generally the reception is not as good as the Nokias. The menu system is bearable but strange to me coming from a nokia before it.- Read davidgray's review (120 words and 1 comment)

This Motorola T720 mobile phone SUCKS! consumers BEWARE! i've never had problems with a phone like i do with the T720. it likes to turn itself off in the middle of calls (i can't even count how many times) and takes forever to come back up. and i've had to bring it back to the store 'cause it didn't want to charge...AT ALL! this is my 2nd T720 and yet i am bringing it back to the store AGAIN! 'cause it's doing the same exact thing.. DON'T BUY THIS PHONE! all you'll have is headaches!- Read darkangel702's review (103 words and 1 comment)

I've had this Motorola T720 mobile phone for over a year, and was attracted by the sleek design. As a basic phone, the only complaint I have is against the quiet ring tones - even on Loud, it's virtually inaudible outside. Otherwise, it's been reliable, and hasn't let me down. However, I have been really disappointed by several aspects. I haven't been able to use several features it's supposed to have as neither the poor manual nor the website offer any instruction on how to use them. The t ...- Read proudag's review (188 words)

I agree with the other review here. I would never purchase another Motorola T720 mobile phone again. Mine drops the signal all the time and will suddenly shut off for no reason while I'm using the phone. Sometimes when I want to turn it back on, it takes almost 3 minutes before I can make a call again!!!- Read mrmxyzptlk's review (60 words)

This thing has given me more head aches than a ball and peen hammer to the temple. It has dropped calls since the first day and there is no support that will make things better. Total waste of time and money. For my first phone, I am really disappointed with Motorola's crud job on this one. I would'nt recommend it to my worst enemy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- Read reefa73's review (79 words and 1 comment)

I am a gadget guy. I read the negative reviews but the deal was too good to pass up. Got my Motorola T720 phone and tried every feature on it. Talked forever, drove all over the state, played games, read email, accessed the web, and abused it a little. It worked fine. Did everything it advertised. The only real improvement I would recommend is for Motorola to use stronger pastic or use metal to give it some strength. It feels light and fragile. This may add some weight but I'd take that for dura ...- Read jepaul2438's review (119 words)
