Used Nokia 8250 for three years. It always unlocks by itself in my pocket with keys and dials another number!!! Help needed to solve this? Can the Unlock key be changed by software? Thinking of buying another phone very very soon as this is costing me lots of money

It is a very good phone. I bought this second hand 8250 for only RM100 in exchange for trading my old 3315. It has been 2 months now and I don't face any problems at all. It is the best phone with great design.

This phone is simply amazing. I have had my Nokia 8250 for over 3 years now and I haven't had a major problem what so ever. The battery life is still amazing and it's going strong!
This is probably the best non-colour screen phone ever made. The buttons are so soft and make browsing the menu an easy task. Of course this is an outdated model now but I can't ask for anything more from it. It continues to serve me well. I use the phone about 2-3 hours a day and send over 20 sms's a day. Never had ...

I bought the Nokia 8250 mobile phone simply for its design and shape. The 'butterfly' style keypad is unique and cute and the blue display screen...MARVELLOUS.I would say this was the phone that really marvelled everyone when it was released.Compared to the predecessor, the Nokia8210,this is a much solid phone and it's really nice.Yes,outdated now compared to MMS etc,but this phone certainly provided me with the best moments.Very nice and worth it.I love it!

Like Sandra my Nokia 8250 Mobile Phone has locked up on 6. Initially tried their "support" and "customer service" via the Net - After filling in their support form it bounced advising the address didn't exist! Same result from customer service!!
Phoned Nokia and the support people are quite unhelpful and deny there's a problem despite referring to web sites that describe "freezing", "locked on 6, etc.
Nokia support is hopeless and appears that they are going through the motions of expressing ...

If you are about to buy a Nokia 8250 now then it wouldn't be a bad choice as you could probably get one for about $300-$400. If you don't mind buying a second hand phone then I would consider you look for a Nokia 6610/7210 which will cost you around $450. Then again if you like the looks of a phone and not the features then the Nokia 8250 would be a good choice.

The N8250 is probably one of the best cell phones before the mms era. It nearly has all of the basic nokia cell phone features. It has the size, great backlights, style and useful features.
The N8250 is for the cell phone users who prefer style, size and basic features.

I've had mine's for just over 2 years and i was one of the first in the UK to get hold of em (got a foreign student from uni to get one from HK). In that time i haven't had a single problem. Great phone but seriously nokia should do something about the lack of features on the top-end phones.

Nice design but featurewise, not that impressive. If you compare this phone with Nokia 3310, the 3310 have better feature; longer sms supported, sms template, able to assign a ringtone to a phone number beside caller group, newer games and a lot cheaper. Besides 8250 is undoubtly small and sleek, the only advantage compared to 3310 is the infra-red. I would say, this handphone is not a value for money. You are actually buying for its design not functionality.

This phone is my third. I have had one from the 5*** series, one 3310 and finally a 8250.

I decided to buy it because I fell for its design, size and the fact that it has a composer feature.

I must admit that this is a phone for "adults" - by this I mean, it is for people who are not fussy about their mobiles or aren't looking at making the most of their mobile experience.

For example, I like SMS-ing friends. With 3310, I could just pick any of the readily available smiley's to add to t ...

I have used numerous mobile phones- ranging from Ericsson (I love that phone, GH688- being my first mobile and all; but it got dated after a while) to Siemens to Nokia to Motorola and now, back to Nokia. I like buying phones as and when there's a good model at a good price; and then trading 'em in when there are better mobiles. Anyway, after going a full cycle and being satisfied with all my mobiles except for the last one (Motorola C333- the internal battery sucks big time!), I now find myself ...

My 8250 recently infected a virus. It caused the top of the screen to keep apearing the "fax", "O_O" and "e" which blocked from displaying the time. This is very irritating. I suspect this virus is sent by the phone stall or other people that have nothing better to do. My friend told me that to erase this virus, at least have to spend USD10 to solve it. damn it.
    Nokia, pls help.
