    Good Points: Good songs, high quality recording.

    General comments: Carpenters, Love Songs is an excellent CD - musical, clear and a pleasure to listen to.

    How can you not like the Carpenters? The brother and sister duo have often been dismissed as too pure pop ie, pap but there is genuine lyrical beauty to much of their work and the singing of Karen Carpenter is astounding.

    It's real expression from her soul. This compilation is really just a best of. The melancholy of Rainy Days and Mondays being a standout but the whole track list is superb. Vastly underated due to their goody two shoes image the Carpenters were superb.
