Good Points: I have owned my DG6100W dishwasher for 5 years and I have had no problems in this time until now.
Bad Points: Timer has now failed and very expensive for replacement part Quoted £90 from Indesit
General comments: Overall the Indesit DG6 was very good value for money.
If every dishwasher I owned was to last 5 years for £250 at time of purchase I would be very happy.

I owned this Indesit DG6100W for 4 years. It did an okay job of cleaning, though it took several hours to do the job and was very noisy with it.
The timer failed and we contacted a local serviceman who said it was a common fault with this machine.

Since owning the Indesit DG6100W I have never been so grateful for an extended warranty. By the time it was three years old, I don't think any of the original parts were left in it.
Backup from Indesit's extended warranty was very good, especially considering the number of callouts we needed. The engineers were prompt and efficient. The machine itself was also very easy to use.
After the 3 year period was up, we opted to let the warranty lapse and see how long it would last. The answer was ...

Indesit DG6100W - Our 3rd dishwasher and found this one to be very reliable, we have owned this machine for 2.5-3 years and been very satsfied with the overall service the machine has given. We are a family of four and the machine has worked daily. We have had one callout to repair a switch which was loose.

This Indesit appliance was my first purchase for my new home and it had shown a certain degree of reliability for the first 2 years. The third year was a bit of a disappointment as the dishes weren't coming out as clean and brilliant as I expected, well ... it was probably its way to tell me that it was developing a different interest other than cleaning dishes. Yes, that's it ... worked 3 years, functioned 2!

When this machine was under guarantee we had the repair man out 3 times to it for the same recurring reason the timer was not advancing. Apparently due to not being level? Now it is out of the guarantee period it has let us down again for the same reason while being perfectly level, however I can't get the damn thing to work again. All in all there is no way I would recommend this machine to anybody. Don't buy one folks they're totally unreliable!

The Indesit DG6100W is a cheap dishwasher that works OK most of the time. It is quite noisy. The main problem is that if you stop it mid cycle for any reason (e.g. power cut) it will then not work and you have to spend hours/days messing around with the dial on the front trying to get it to finish it's cycle.
