Good Points: A fantastic rendition of an all-time great heavy metal band played on very un-heavy metal instruments. Really opens up your mind to what can be achieved.
Bad Points: Given the difficulty of the task they took on, I really can't think of any bad points.
General comments: Apocalyptica, Plays Metallica By Four Cellos - I always like to hear one style of music transcribed on a completely different instrument, and this must surely be the ultimate.
Metallica - possibly one of the best heavy metal bands of all time, played by four cellists, and what a job they've done!
If you love the cello, or love Metallica, then give this a good long listen to. Only purists will disapprove, and that's their loss.

I thought Apocalyptica, Plays Metallica By Four Cellos was amazing. The cello is my favorite instrument. I also play the cello. A 4 cello duet like that is extremely difficult. They make it sound easy. Not to mention it's metalica! You gotta love 'em both.- Read mazel's review (44 words)

Awesome interpretation of Metallica. Makes them sound good. Also for four cellos, EXTREMELY difficult, we are talking high treble clef on a bass clef instrument with wierd rythems and notes. Yet it could not have been done any better. The four cellos give it a hearty and satisfying sound. Though not very intense, definitely worth buying for easy listening.- Read Ian Barnett's review (89 words)
