I love the Crossman 2289 air rifle because its just like a real 22. calibre. I also like this product becuase it can turn into a long barrel pistol.
My general comment is that this gun is great overall and I would premmote people to by it. Thank you.

I definitely recommend this gun to anyone who wants to be able to modify. Excellent Value, Accurate, Power, You can mod this thing until the cows come home and then some.
Plastic, Some end sights are a bit loose on the end or the barrel(your can twist the fore sight a bit on some guns) I have seen this on 3 separate guns now. It's fixable with a bit of plastic weld. Some guns have a slightly loose 1399 stock out of the box, again fixable with some tape on the inside of the handle.

I bought the Canadian version of this gun at Canadian tire for about $124.99. I do not regret my choice at all, I own about 6 airguns (including this one) so I can compare it to my other airguns. It is easy tp pump and is quite accurate. The .22 cal pellets have alot of force when they hit a target. I use crosman wadcutters and it works pretty good. The trigger pull is very nice, it is very light so kids can use it with ease. You have a choice between a peep sight or a notch sight. You can even m ...

Before i bought this i did a lot of research. Everyone said good things about it. It is a good gun, but most people said it was easy to pump and quiet and accurate maybe its just mine but mine is hard to pump, also a bit louder than i thought it would be and the accuracy isn't horrible but it could be better. All in all its a good plinker. Its quick and easy to change the grips, and the gun looks pretty sweet. I'd recommend this gun to my friends.

I bought this gun 2 weeks ago and i find it pretty useful. The gun is very light and pretty powerful if you give it a few pumps, i find the barrel to short and the handle to wobbly. This gun is pretty accurate at fairly close aim but it is probably not the best for long distance shots. Being a .22 caliber it can take out bigger animals pretty easy like goffers and larger birds. The bolt action is very useful easy and fast. I recommend this gun to beginner to novice shooters. Very fun and lightwe ...

I've had the Crosman 2289 and it's beautiful. It's light for those long hunting trips and it's 22 cal. All the better I mounted a 4x15 scope on it and it hits dimes at 30 yards, not bad for a beginner. Easy to pump and loads easily to. Shoots well with wadcutters and pointed pellets

In all I suppose the Crosman 2289G is a good air rifle and 22 cal is the big bonus... you can easily put on a wooden stock and pumparm, I have already made a pump arm and its much better now and looks nicer... the idea of a plastic barrel band worried me, metal would have been a better idea and the quailty would have gone up a bit... very good idea having a removeable stock, it makes it eaiser to transport it in a small case. Using it as a pistol is just plain wrong and too unbalanced... accurac ...

Well the Crosman 2289G gun is a lot fun. Just today I shot two partridges with it, one of my friends shot a rabbit with it so I might try it. This gun has its best accuracy at about 10-15 yrds. Above that you really have to compensate. I'm thinking of putting in a 18" inch barrel for hunting, but if thats what you want this gun for I say get it. After a little while of changing between pistol and normal stock grip the connection gets kind of loose, I just added a little tape to fix the problem.

In stock form this is a great gun to just nail cans with. It is accurate enough out of the box to provide years of enjoyment. It could also be used to harvest a bunny or squirel if needed. Overall in stock form this gun is an entry level .22 caliber "fun gun"

The real strenghts of this gun can be expressed with a little modifications. The gun is built in such a way that it can be easily disassembled and tuned up. There are lots of resources on how to modify this gun as well as lots of pl ...

    Why I choose the 2289
The locals aren't so fond of people walking around with guns, so if I could carry an airgun discreetly, it was a definite plus. Luckily Crosman has made a few pellet guns that fit that description. I had an old model Backpacker, a 1389, around the mid '90s. Of the few a ...

This is a really neat gun for people who just like to shoot around. When I first got it, it looked like it had no power what so ever but when I saw a rabbit I quickly got it pumped and took that mother down. Its a pump and i think thats alot better than those small Co2 cartriges because C02 tends to lose power after 10 shots and that stinks. It shoots a .22 caliber pelet which is different and thats part of a reason why I got this gun because it was differnt from most guns. It also has a rifled ...

I put one of those small $10 dot sights on it and i get alomost one hole groups at 10 yds. All u have to get to mount a scope or something on it is Crossman 459 mounts then you are good to go. This gun IS a powerful hunting gun and will down a rabbit. But just remeber shot placement is everything. Take all the precaution to make your game die quickly. Other than hunting this gun is a spiffy plinker and fun to shoot. I sugjest Daisy Max Speeds for this cool .22 cal. Pointed or Waddcutters ar ...

This .22 calibre air rifle is great. features an improved bolt design for easier cocking and loading. The extended rifled steel barrel provides greater accuracy and the unique takedown design allows for compact storage or conversion to an air pistol. The Crosman 2289G a good air rifle I have one but I custom make mine with a $122.00 7x42 SCOPE and a $45.00 MUZZLE BREAKER. It shoots great it goes about 525-535FPS AND with a 14.3g pellet its 9lbs of energy. 10-15 pumps single shot. It's about $70. ...

The Crosman 2289G is a single-shot multi-pump pneumatic airgun. It is basically the same design as the 1322/1377 series, except for the longer barrel, different style forearm and the inclusion of a synthetic stock.

This a a good model for the entry level airgunner or someone who wants to have a multi-pump around the house for occasional use. In stock form, it is a hard hitter that is light and comfortable to handle. The gun can be a short rifle (14.5" barrel)or an awkward long pistol - remova ...

Overall I really like this Crosman 2289G gun. It has served me well by harvesting a rabbit and a bushytail. Has very conveinet loading by being a bolt action. Light weight is good for toting around on long walks. It has a velocity of 525 fps (advertised) i haven't checked it on a chrony. It groups about 1 3/4 in. at 10 yards which is pretty good being a $55 gun. The pumping can scare game though, and the short barrel compromises accaurcy and range. All in all i am satisfied with my little rifle ...

The Crosman 2289G air gun is very good for the money. It handles well and can be broken down into a pistol. It is easy to reload and it's very fun to shoot. This is the best goods for the money.
