Good Points: A fantastic blend of chillout and ambient dance. Truly a wonderful asset to my music collection.
Bad Points: None.
General comments: When I first heard about Royksopp through "Poor Leno" and "Remind Me" I was very keen to buy their album. On my first listen in a music store to Melody AM I was blown away, and I quickly forked out the money for what has now become one of the most played albums in my collection.
Surely this is the best sample-based dance music every created? One would think so with the melodic musical hooks on tracks like "So Easy" "Eple" and "Poor Leno". The quietly soothing "Sparks" is another gem in this album's treasure trove, as is the thought-provoking instrumental "40 years Back/Come" which one might describe as an "acid mushroom village wonderland".
All in all, it is well worth a listen for chillout and dance fans everywhere looking for something a bit different.
