I had 2 sets of Logitech Z-680 computer speakers within 6 months of buying the first set. The fuse in the back of the sub woofer kept blowing every time I turned them on. A waste of money! Luckily I got my money back both times. (read more)

Logitech Z-680 - I used to have the Logitech Z540 Speakers, and decided to upgrade to the Z-680 ones, and the difference is "Stunning". Just in the process of sending for my 3rd set of these quality speakers, i have one set in my Son's bedroom hooked up to a Playstation 2,and DVD/Video Television system, another hooked up to my Computer system, (make sure that your Motherboard has a SPDIF output to get the most of these speakers being pure Dolby Digital). My 3rd set will be hooked up to a... (read more)

More often than not, the sound card beats the speakers... In this case, I must say it was the opposite. The 400 Watts of Logitech surround sound beat the sound card. I must say, that these bad boys were definately worth the price, and still are. I have only one complaint with them, and that is that the subwoofer or amp has a buzz when you turn up the sub. other than that, they OWN any other 5.1 setup out there, in my opinion. (read more)

Erm... The Logitech Z-680 comes with hardware Dolby Digital, Dolby DTS and Dolby Pro Logic II decoding. It has both optical and coaxial inputs for digital sound, alongside 3 analog stereo jack inputs.
I'm currently waiting for these speakers to arrive, but from all I've read so far (as long as you don't get ones that buzz) they are excellent speakers for the price and will fill almost any room with sound, should you require extreme volumes.
