I got an 880 when I was 9 years old and had it til I was about 17 and it lasted all those years still being powerful and true to hit what I aimed at * Although the stock had long been gone lol and looked like it had been to oblivion and back * I have a few co2 pistols now and I'm 44 years old * I just got another 880 a week ago and of course it brings back all the memories of plinking almost everything in sight and taking everything from Gar to Groundhogs * (Headshots count) also mine never had… Read Full Review

“Very bad purchase.”

Written on: 05/05/2013

Don't plan on using this gun for anything other than a firearm safety class. The scope that comes with it is a carnival prize. I spent months adjusting the sights on it, and I ended up having to aim up and to the right just to hit my target. The iron sights weren't much better (not that iron sights are the most accurate things in the world anyway). I was planning on using this gun for rabbit hunting, until I realized that I couldn't hit the side of a barn with it. Using iron sights at 30 yards… Read Full Review

I love my Powerline 880! It is powerful and accurate! I've watched some videos on Youtube on this gun and it can kill squirrels, rabbits, Birds, etc. I got it for Christmas on my 9th birthday and now i'm 11 but I still use it and love it. I recommend you buy this gun if you want to do small game hunting or just have fun with friends. I am slightly more accurate with the iron sights than I am with the scope. “Great and Accurate”

Written on: 26/11/2012

I bought this air rifle a month ago, it was $45 including scope. Metal barrel. Accuracy - Without the scope, it works like a charm. I get accurate shots all the way to 60 yards. With the scope is just as good. Might not be sufficient for experienced shooters, but as this is my first one, I think I shoot better WITH the scope. Handling - Perfect, smooth pumping. Value for Money - Definitely worth the $45. Heck, a kid asked if I could kill the squirrels in his yard because I looked like a hunter… Read Full Review

Written on: 09/06/2012 by Jkrollings (1 review written)

Hi, I bought this little air rifle at an antique shop in Logan city, Utah, and I have never been more satisfied with a Daisy in my life. Then dove tail mounting is a little short, but I can live with the iron sites. It has been accurate up to 100 yards, and can put 16 pellets into a 50 cent piece. The antiqued looking stock on it has a nice look to it, and i find that it has a wonderful built in Daisy pride. I just recently bought a newer model of the 880 Powerline, and I Just have to say, the… Read Full Review

When we removed the Daisy 880 from the package the right rear screw was loose and no amount of tightening would snug it up. Upon removing the screw we found that the hole it went into was stripped, leaving the stock loose. I installed a round-head screw that was slightly larger than the factory screw, snugged it up and all was well.

Accuracy with the standard sights was impressive. A friend, a very experienced airgunner, put the first two pellets directly into the bull's eye at 70 feet… Read Full Review

Daisy Powerline 880 Pellet Rifle. This gun is excellent. Throw away the daisy scope that comes with it, garbage. And never use BB's. I'll tell you what you need to be a backyard shooter for many hours of fun.

After many shoots with it, different sights, bb's, pellets.
If you want a good reliably accurate inexspenive backyard gun, this is it.

Get a nice inexpensive 4x32 scope, DO NOT use BB's, and use crossman pellets.

BB's are for smooth barrel gun's, and this model is a rifled barrel… Read Full Review

Then a Crossmand 760, Then a Crossmen CO2 pistol...then my beloved 880. I miss that gun. It's my understanding that the Daisy 880 first came out in 1972, at that time I had a Crossman 760. The Crosman only lasted me 2 or 3 years before the seal gave out and wouldn't pump up anymore. Then in 1992 I decided to buy another pellet rifle. Thinking back on my Crosman experience, I decided to buy the Daisy 880 20th Anniversay Special Edition. Mine was made in America, not China like the newer ones. I'm still shooting this gun today, almost 20 years later. I've always shot it with open… Read Full Review

First off, I bought my Daisy 880 at Wal-Mart after Christmas. I've heard good and bad about this air rifle. I noticed that my 880 was made in China, so I emailed Daisy about where they manufacture their products. Some are made in America and some are made in China, which explains the price and quality difference. Another person commented on this in an earlier post. This gun is amazingly powerful. It shot streight through a full can of outdoor energy drink and through a piece of plywood. The scope zooms about 15-25 yards closer to the target. The guns accuracy as to the T with iron sights. Scope takes some skill to zero in. The gun is great for target practice. Picked up this gun and a tin of Crosman Premier Hollow Points at Walmart for $45. Is kind of small, and weighs about 3 pounds i believe. Probably designed for younger people, but is still a good size. Is made of hard plastic, feels very light but still feels sturdy. Have had it for about a month, and have had no problems with it so far. Came with a Daisy 4 x 15 scope, it isn't the top of the line but it works great with this rifle. The only thing bad about it is that it is pretty hard to sight in with the 4x15 scope it comes with. But that is easily changed by using my dad's .22 cal. scope. The gun is about a four on a scale of one to ten on loudness and an eight on accuracy. I would really recommend this gun for beginner to intermediate shooters… Read Full Review

Both my brother and I had 880's during our pre-teen and early teanage years. Neither one of us were into hunting but just enjoyed the thrill of shooting. Our Dad would take us to the rock quarry on Redstone Arsenal to shoot. We would walk around the area collecting all the aluminum cans and glass bottles (typically beer)to use as targets, the glass bottles were the best. At the time I believe the place was a popular area for the soldiers to kick back, relax and drink their suds. Our Dad would… Read Full Review

This little gun is strange: despite the warning on the package (treat it seriously!), it is marketed as a kid's gun, and its "feel" suggest the same. In my opinion it is LESS safe than a .22LR - it is powerful enough to seriously hurt, yet inherently more difficult to control… Read Full Review

with this Daisy Powerline 880 gun's great shooting power you can take down small game animals. Shoots up to 800 fps. optic sights arent gr8 but with a 5$ daisy scope it is awesome. After a while butt of gun wobbles but if u take it off and add some super or gorala glue it works great. iron sights move fairly accurate within 15 yards great gun for price~~~ recommend to anyone… Read Full Review

The Daisy Powerline 880 is a great gun for plinking and for pest control. I personally have the 880s with attached 4x15 scope. When I first got it I had a lot of trouble with the scope and sighting it as I couldn't see where my shots landed so I began shooting into water and that can help you zero your scope as you get instant feedback for where your shots are going. Once zeroed this gun is extremely accurate and has a good amount of power to bring down small to medium pests. Would highly… Read Full Review

The Daisy Powerline 880 is a really great gun for price. It is really easy to pump and is all around reliable. Just don't try jamming more than 1 thing in for "Shotgun Style". Its funny at first, but will inevitably separate the inner barrel from the gun because the barrel is hollow. Thats what happened to mine… Read Full Review

I have had my Daisy Powerline 880 for about a year and yes its true it is very inaccurate only when shooting bbs but when shooting pellets.....its is an awesome cheap and extremely accurate airgun. It comes with a cheap scope and if you want my opinion...trash it! It is a piece of crap! Get you a nice scope for it and you'll be shooting bottle caps at up to 40 to 50 yards with pellets only. Its has plenty of power for small game hunting especially birds. It doesnt have quiet the nockdown power… Read Full Review
