This is my 3rd Daisy. When I was 11 I got the Buck model 105 and loved it though a little small for me. In my 40's I got another model 105 and gave it (eventually) to my son. Nostalgia I suppose. Now, three days ago I bought an 880. I am 68 now and also have a 22 rifle and pistol. It's the most fun with a gun I've had. It shoots BBs and pellets. I bought it for the pigeons nesting in my roof. With 5 pumps and a Daisy pointed pellet I brought one down like a rock. He didn't suffer. Accuracy is… Read Full Review

I got an 880 when I was 9 years old and had it til I was about 17 and it lasted all those years still being powerful and true to hit what I aimed at * Although the stock had long been gone lol and looked like it had been to oblivion and back * I have a few co2 pistols now and I'm 44 years old * I just got another 880 a week ago and of course it brings back all the memories of plinking almost everything in sight and taking everything from Gar to Groundhogs * (Headshots count) also mine never had… Read Full Review

Don't plan on using this gun for anything other than a firearm safety class. The scope that comes with it is a carnival prize. I spent months adjusting the sights on it, and I ended up having to aim up and to the right just to hit my target. The iron sights weren't much better (not that iron sights are the most accurate things in the world anyway). I was planning on using this gun for rabbit hunting, until I realized that I couldn't hit the side of a barn with it. Using iron sights at 30 yards… Read Full Review

I love my Powerline 880! It is powerful and accurate! I've watched some videos on Youtube on this gun and it can kill squirrels, rabbits, Birds, etc. I got it for Christmas on my 9th birthday and now i'm 11 but I still use it and love it. I recommend you buy this gun if you want to do small game hunting or just have fun with friends. I am slightly more accurate with the iron sights than I am with the scope. I like to shoot at cans, cardboard, bottles, and anything of that nature. This is an… Read Full Review

this is my second one its as good as the first one i owned, although if Daisy was to make a all steel identical version with wood stock and make it in a break barrel action with a4x32 centerpoint scope and shoot 1000fps/ pellets only.it would b a top seller.name power line/880XLT hint… Read Full Review

I bought this air rifle a month ago, it was $45 including scope. Metal barrel. Accuracy - Without the scope, it works like a charm. I get accurate shots all the way to 60 yards. With the scope is just as good. Might not be sufficient for experienced shooters, but as this is my first one, I think I shoot better WITH the scope. Handling - Perfect, smooth pumping. Value for Money - Definitely worth the $45. Heck, a kid asked if I could kill the squirrels in his yard because I looked like a hunter… Read Full Review

Hi, I bought this little air rifle at an antique shop in Logan city, Utah, and I have never been more satisfied with a Daisy in my life. Then dove tail mounting is a little short, but I can live with the iron sites. It has been accurate up to 100 yards, and can put 16 pellets into a 50 cent piece. The antiqued looking stock on it has a nice look to it, and i find that it has a wonderful built in Daisy pride. I just recently bought a newer model of the 880 Powerline, and I Just have to say, the… Read Full Review

i got myself a little treat, because easter is tommorow. the daisy powerline 880 is amazingly accurate and has more potential than any other powerline model bb gun i have had. i actually shot a bird straight through the beak, i was lucky, also the gun was accurate. there was nothing i didn't like about the 880. i actually liked everything about it… Read Full Review

I believe that the daisy powerline 880 is well worth its money. it has bb/pellet option, power pump capability, free scope (not the best) but free, and has very accurate iron sights. i had this gun for about 3 months now and i have already killed numerous birds and some squirrels with it. most of whick rather far 45 yrds to maby 50 i dont remember. this is a adult gun i wouldnt recomend to a child under 18. the only thing that gets my goat so to say is the cheap 4x12 i think scope just buy a… Read Full Review

When we removed the Daisy 880 from the package the right rear screw was loose and no amount of tightening would snug it up. Upon removing the screw we found that the hole it went into was stripped, leaving the stock loose. I installed a round-head screw that was slightly larger than the factory screw, snugged it up and all was well.
Accuracy with the standard sights was impressive. A friend, a very experienced airgunner, put the first two pellets directly into the bull's eye at 70 feet… Read Full Review

Daisy Powerline 880 Pellet Rifle. This gun is excellent. Throw away the daisy scope that comes with it, garbage. And never use BB's. I'll tell you what you need to be a backyard shooter for many hours of fun.
After many shoots with it, different sights, bb's, pellets.
If you want a good reliably accurate inexspenive backyard gun, this is it.
Get a nice inexpensive 4x32 scope, DO NOT use BB's, and use crossman pellets.
BB's are for smooth barrel gun's, and this model is a rifled barrel… Read Full Review

My review is on the one that I got for my 11th Birthday back in the 80s...Most likely USA built. This was the best gun I ever had. Started out with a RedRyder single pump. Then a Crossmand 760, Then a Crossmen CO2 pistol...then my beloved 880. I miss that gun. Very Accurate Very powerful...Birds, snakes rats, frogs, fat caterpillers, lizards, you name it...it did the job. My son is turning 8 so looking into getting him one. I pray that they are as quality as they were. Again this review… Read Full Review

It's my understanding that the Daisy 880 first came out in 1972, at that time I had a Crossman 760. The Crosman only lasted me 2 or 3 years before the seal gave out and wouldn't pump up anymore. Then in 1992 I decided to buy another pellet rifle. Thinking back on my Crosman experience, I decided to buy the Daisy 880 20th Anniversay Special Edition. Mine was made in America, not China like the newer ones. I'm still shooting this gun today, almost 20 years later. I've always shot it with open… Read Full Review

First off, I bought my Daisy 880 at Wal-Mart after Christmas. I've heard good and bad about this air rifle. I noticed that my 880 was made in China, so I emailed Daisy about where they manufacture their products. Some are made in America and some are made in China, which explains the price and quality difference. Another person commented on this in an earlier post. Mine does ok with BBs, but much better with lead pellets. I replaced the scope with a better one from Daisy and like it very… Read Full Review
