Just bought it today, I live in Surabaya, and the airgun is made in Surabaya, Indonesia. Very cheap at 375K rupiahs equal to less than 35 US$. First Impression is lightness, easy to use and powerful. Just three pumps is enough to kill any small game, seven pumps will give you long range but also noise. The latest production now include adapter for silencer, and better quality against leakage, so you don't have to worry. I recommend it to all my friends and families over other air rifle made... Good value powerful rifle you can take out pigeon sized game at 40m although accuracy is not the best I think it comes down to what angle the pellet is on when you push the pellet in with shaft. I shoot pigeon's professionally and this is what I use. Holds pressure my (one anyway) for hours I have held pressure with 4 pumps and still taken out pigeons for well over and hour (make sure you use gun oil I guess it's for the seals in the pressure cylinder)mine doesn't loose pressure. If you pump... (read more)

I bought it 2 weeks ago, nice 1st impression. Light and accurate.
Seller said, a bit crappy on the air tube, max 4 pumps to get it's longer tube's life, otherwise it wont last than a year to get a tube replacement.
And it did, I heard an air leak after only 1 or 2 pumps (after 2 weeks). I use it only about 5 shots per day.
How could I fix it? love the gun but a bit dissapoint me.
Thanks a bunch.

I bought it (Canon 737)in Vietnam via a sailor who often goes to Indonesia. The price is very high, 5.300.000VND= 265USD-as we are not allowed to have even an air rifle in our country. I have found that the real price of this rifle is a lot cheaper in other countries. However, this is the only choice I have. This is a very accurate rifle as I have used Old Chinese and German ones so that I can compare. Nice wood work, light, no recoil, very powerful (kill rat from distance of 50m)
But, the...

Well, actually im new to airguns and my dad bring it home yesterday so i tried it and wow.. this gun seems amazing!! It's pretty accurate rifle and shoots a small bird in about 8 m. The only drawback about this rifle is sometimes when you pump it, it sounds like as if the pump is leaked but dont worry you can fix it by shaking the trigger..
Really succesful Indonesian product, highly recommend it for amateurs!!

the other way of shaking trigger, you can push the trigger to front... if sounds like a leak, that is bcouse the "L" shapes air exhaust pin stopper inside mechanism, not placed right.

I just bought this cannon 737 gun for a while, After a few test
even just an open sight is still have very well accurate.
and it powerfull enough to blewup Redbull glass
bottle at 15m.
Overall, This gun is very good performance.
and it is more than my expectation.
It is good for you to start with this gun before you going
to buy the pro's one. But I think this gun is good enough
for survival in the wild.

Yes I will buy it tommorrow. Testing it today, looks OK and after reading other comment in here, it's valuable. I live in Phuket, the shop is going to sell it for be at 5800 baht (Thai) or around $170US. After buy it, I will test it and I will report again. I like it.
To hold the arm for pumping air, it maybe quicker if it has projecting handle. I'm scared it may heart my finger.

A great value, all around nice gun. Can be a tad fiddly to load sometimes; the pellet goes in funny occasionally.
After a lot of use I had to tighten the screw by the trigger guard. I then had to re-sight my scope.
Great gun for the money. Really accurate. Good show!

Overall I like this indonesian multipump air rifle, the barrel, pump tube is made from brass that won't rust. I just bought my cannon 737 for about a month, I've shot about 500 pellets from this air rifle. I got best result when I use RWS Meisterkugeln wadcutter type 8.2gr (read more)

Maybe I just bought a lemon, but I had no joy with this rifle at all.
I can't even comment on the accuracy as I never got a chance to test it.
When I first saw it, I just had to buy it.... it looks great. I bought a .177. I pumped it about 4 times, giving just over 600 ft/s.
After 4 shots the rifle simply jammed. It just wouldn't cock! I took it back to the dealer. Luckily he replaced it for me. The next rifle blew its seals after the first pump!
Well that was it for me...

This Cannon 737 is a very nice little air rifle. Easy to handle. Very accurate. I did crony it with AA Match pellets (7.77 gr). Shot 5 pellets at each stage of pumping starting with 1 pump...12 pumps. The results is as follows.
1 pump 357 ft/s 2.08 ft/lb
2 pumps 488 ft/s 3.88 ft/lb
3 pumps 568 ft/s 5.25 ft/lb

The Cannon 737 is a very nice gun for the money. Light and easy to shoot. Fun to shoot. Very powerful with high velocity even at 7 pumps. 3-4 pumps adequate for short range (10-20yds) plinking and bird hunting. Can use cheap scope since no recoil. Has fairly loud report after 5-6 pumps. Safety fell out of mine so I modified it by drilling a small hole on the right side of the button for a small cotter pin safety lever and a smaller hole on the left side for a thin copper wire detente.... The cannon 737 is a great hunting Air Rifle.
It's extremely handy to carry around in the field and to hunt with. Very powerful and efficent even at long range : with the gamo pro-magnum pellets
it shoots up to 55 yeards and goes through a hard tin even at that range! Up to now, the gamo pro-magnum are the pellets that work best in this rifle. The other cheap pellets work good too. The gun is powerful enough to drop such a hard knocking-down quarry as a crowd ! I wouldn't use it for plinking...

Cannon Special 737
This is a pump up pneumatic air rifle, and is made in Indonesia. Mine is .177. I believe it gives around 600fps at 3 pumps, and 800 at 6 pumps, and 1000 at 10 pumps, so you don't get too much more for your effort at 10 pumps, although anything more than 8 pumps and it sounds a bit like a 22 rimfire, making a loud "crack". Don't give it more than 10 pumps, as the heat generated by the high pressure can melt the seals. 8 pumps is sufficient to kill a possum or rabbit at...

The most powerful pump gun I've ever heard of is the Benjiman or Sheridan Blue/Silver Streak models. They shoot max fps of 625 in .22 cal, 675 in .20 and 800 in .177. I've never known of a pump gun that gets even close to 1000 fps in any caliber. Try shooting it through a chronograph. Bet your going to get something like 700 to 750 fps. Even the Benjiman .177 cal that's rated at 800 fps will only get that with ultra light 6.5 grain pellets. The average pellet purchased off the shelf is about 7.5 to 8.5 grains. This will slow the 800 fps gun down to about 675-725 fps. Even the spring guns rated at 1000 fps dont get that except with 6.5 grain pellets and thats only for the first 250 shots or so. Once the gun is broken in it loses 8 to 10 pecent of it's power pulling it's velocity down to 900 - 920 fps. Throw in an average weight pellet of 7.8 grains and this goes down to about 820 to 850 fps. If your gun actually shoots even near to 1000 fps. then you truly have an awsomely powerfull pump gun! I'm not saying that it's impossible, just highly unlikely. I am an avid air gunner. I've owned several different types of guns and have yet to ever hear of a pump gun that is anywhere close to being that powerfull.
<br/> Want true power? Get a Gamo Hunter 1250. I have one and let me tell you! That gun ROCKS!! $375.00 will get you a gun that will break the sound barrier with 8.6 grain pellets. Thats over 1100 fps. I shoot Beeman Kodiaks 10.6 grains. They chronograph at 1050 fps and will punch through a 1 inch thick piece of wood at 25 yards. It's a spring gun not a pump, but it's worth the money. Very accurate too!

I have a few of these and they are great bargains for the money. They shoot very well and quite strong out of the box. I made a slight modification to the valve on mine and it shoots Crosman Premier lights at around 700 fps with 3 pumps, 800 with 5 pumps and nearly 1000 fps with 10 pumps ( it will shoot a max velocity of around 1050 fps if you pump it 15 but that is too much work for the slight increase in velocity). With modifications it will shoot Premier heavies at 850 with 10 pumps which... (read more)

This air rifle will dispatch small game such as rabbits and birds as large as crows. This type of air rifle is for hunting and holding the power to prove its place among hunting air guns.
This Air rifle is as accurate as any air gun on the market. The differance I have noticed with the Cannon 737 is when shot its release of air pressure has a powerful distinctive crack compared to the other air rifles. Some Air Rifles made today have less power and quality but this Air Rifle is made very...

The Cannon 737 is a good quality air rifle at a good price. I've had mine for 2 years now and have only had 1 problem which was easily fixed at my local gun store. The wooden stock is durable and also the gun as it survived a drop of 5 metres when it fell off my deck. But all the positaves wipe out the negitaves to give you one of the most powerfull rifles on the market. Therefore i strongly recomend the cannon 737 to people who are looking at high power and accuracy which is needed for... (read more)

Yes it is! It may short the life-time of the airgun. It's strongly advised to pump the Cannon NOT MORE THAN 7 times which makes the gun quite powerful...(this is written in the users Manuel, actually a piece of junk with very little information...
