    Good Points: Nice resolution.


    Bad Points: Monitor has a hibernation issue on multiple PC's. The monitor starts and then immediately goes into sleep mode (Windows XP and ME). I question its durability.

    The NEC LCD 1700NX 17 inch TFT monitor is very nice. I have had no problems apart from the slow resolution change, but for the money it's one of the better screens I have owned.

    This NEC LCD 1700NX is the second TFT I have used. First was an Samsung SyncMaster 171MP-TFT. This NEC does not have multimedia on it but the quality of the image is more better than the Samsung. In fact is quite perfect.

    On average, people found this review very helpful


    Never seen another monitor with such clear text and colour as the NEC LCD 1700NX and with auto set up it's great.

    First one I received from the supplier had a fault damaged in transit I phoned NEC they said a replacement would be with me next day.

    By 4pm nothing arrived so I phoned NEC someone had forgot to ship it out and it was too late to ship one for the next day delivery.

    So NEC paid for a carrier to pick up a unit in Telford and drive all the way up to Northumberland to deliver it ...
