Good Points: Ive ownend a k7sem mainbord for over a year now and ive had no problems with it. Its good for moderate gaming and multimedia every things is good on this mainboard except the video great for games , but you must upgrade the video to enjoy it. It runs well with win xp pro/home, supports agp 8x video cards, the onboard audio is good for onboard hardware and I also found it very easy to set up.
Bad Points: Only 2 pci slots:( The onboard video is full of bugs pixil shading is full of bugs, for example I ran Grand Theft Auto vice city on it and the charactor was a white block and the senery would dissapear and flicker. If you upgrade the video to a ATI radeon 9250 then it will work just fine but hard to find the drivers for it.
General comments: I own a k7sem with an amd athlon@1.52ghz/ 384mb pc 133 ram/80gb wd hdd/ ati radeon 9250/ running under windows xp pro I highly recomend this setup. It will play these games decently=
Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto vice city, Need For Speed UnderGround , Need For Speed UnderGround2 , Midnight club 2 and earler

I own an Elite K7SEM v3.0 with an athlon 1.52 ghz processor its good for the moderate gamer but I strongly recommend that you upgrade the video.
It works well with win xp home/pro.
The onboard video has pixil shading issues and a lot of games don't work right with the onboard video.
Its also hard to find win 9x drivers.

I've had few proplems with the Elite K7SEM v3.0 except with getting drivers for the on board things like graphics and sound. But I've had mine for a while now and I got it second hand. It stopped working once but I just took it out of its tower and it worked fine, though now the usb ports have lost power. So I'm just taking the power straight from the power box though I could use a hub . Overall I'm happy with it and would get another faster version if I was to have to upgrade to XP, but it's fi ...

My Elite K7SEM v3.0 motherboard did not last for very long at all! I guess you get what you pay for!
I will not buy an Elite motherboard ever again.

The origional Elite k7 SEM v3.0 akateboard lasted 7 months before going bad. The dealer replaced it, but the one they sent me was a reconditioned board and it failed also, this cost me lots of time and money with both the first failure and the second. The first failure was the place on the board where the memory modules connect was bad, could not read memory. Second problem was no onboard video working, and would not restart from the software with the reset on motherboard. I will never buy from ...

I was repairing a system that the above board it was all going well until i got round to flashing the bios. This was a complete failure the keyboard lock initiated and I was unable to release it.

ac97 sound and modem,
realtek 10/100 lan,
sis730 video can assign up to 64 mb,
built in duron processer,
good cheap reliable upgrade for slower systems. I would recommend it for people on a tight budget. Seems to resemble the PCCHIPS M810 board.
