I have had my Nokia 3310 since it first came out, over nine years ago. It is a brilliant phone, has never let me down and so easy for texting. The keys are well spaced and the letters are big especially for someone with failing eye sight like me. I have changed the battery once using a used battery from someone elses nikia. My Nokia 3310 is still in mint condition with no scratches or marks. It has been dropped and sat on which never affected it. They don't make tham like that now. (read more)

I bought this phone about seven years ago, but hadn't used it for about two years. A new sim card and I was away again with same battery.
This phone really is a classic. Does'nt do all the fancy things that modern mobiles do, but is utterly reliable for phoning and texting. There can't be a better mobile for the very young or very old, abd I should know! May seem a bit heavy by todays standards, but it is reassuringly solid.

This is the best phone I have ever owned. I got it second hand (was already about a year old) when I was 11 and over 6 years later it is still going strong. This phone has never died on me for any reason. It has been soaked, fallen upon, dropped from heights of over 6 feet, thrown, etc. and everything still works perfectly.
This is also the most easy to use phone ever invented due to its lack of technology. The lack of technology is its strong point, not its weakness. Any phone that can keep...

I have had my Nokia 3310 for some time and love it because it
is so easy to use and easy to handle with the key pad ect
it is easy to read ,send messages,answer,end, the only thing it does not do is take pictures and have a radio,
people like my self we need a phone like this one as we are getting older and do not understand how to work some of the modern phones and this one is so easy to read as our eye sight

The Nokia 3310 is good for kids. Or if you don't really use a phone. It's easy to use, makes calls, texts - All you'd expect from a phone. But, if you like a camera on a phone and all the latest features this isn't for you.
Again - It does what you'd expect a phone to do, good spare phone etc. Not good for business.

I must have had the Nokia 3310 phone for 5 years, on PAYG Genie/BT Cellnet(!) SIM card. It's great for simple txts and calls. It's really tough, and survived much abuse.
I bought new higher capacity a couple of years ago and it last about 5 days between charges.
I have a cable to hook up up to my PC. It's a bit fiddly but it works, so I have a copy of my phone book, but I've never needed it - yet!

What can I say. Still one of the best phones I've ever owned. Super reliable and built like a brick, literally. My uncle was on the phone on the top of a crane. He dropped his 3310 about 100ft down while he was talking. He went to the bottom and the bloke was still at the other end on his way to see if he was OK. It needed a new case, that was it. 100ft on to concrete. I don't think many other phone would have survived this. I want to buy another now though. (read more)

Bought this Nokia 3310 mobile phone 5 years ago and have had NO problems but recently I have to charge the battery every couple of days but I suppose a new battery will solve this. NO mp3 player- Thank God, just good reliable service. When I upgrade to a better phone I will not be trading in my 3310 in case my new phone isn't as reliable. (read more)

I am really pleased with my Nokia 3310 mobile phone. I've had it for about 5 years now and it still works perfectly, despite me having dropped it many times (sometimes on purpose just to demonstrate how sturdy it is). As a teenager, many times I have considered getting a new, cooler phone with a camera, but every time, I have decided to just stick with my 3310 - after all, it does everything you need in a phone - calls and texts. I absolutely loved my 3310!
I kept mine for years because it was so reliable.
It never gave me any problems.
It was simple to use, and reacted quickly.
I was soon drawn in by the new camera phones though, and opted for one a year ago. The only things better about my new phone are the colour screen and the fact that it holds a lot of text messages.

The Nokia 3310 is a fantastic phone. It was only the second one I owned but it beats more modern handsets hands down. I originally had mine third hand (it was about two years old when I got it) yet it survived another year until the screen cracked. The major selling point on this phone for me is the text messaging. Yeah, you have MMS on later models, but hello, you get 450 characters in 1 message (10p!) with the 3310. I really miss this feature on my Nokia 3510i. It's also very compact... (read more)

I bought the Nokia 3310 a few years ago and was thrilled with it. I knew I had the best phone available for about 1 month until the gits at Nokia released the 3510. I was very pleased with the ringtone volume, speaker quality in call and the ease of use while surfing the menus. you can compose your own tones and download up to seven extra ones (via text as there is no wap). This is a great phone for people who just want to make calls and send texts. (read more)

This was my second phone after a Philips Savvy which I thought was robust, the 3310 took that to another level. While I was teaching abseiling off a 35 foot tower my 3310 took a nose dive off it, well I thought that was it, it had gone to the phone heaven in the sky, upon getting down to it, it was still working it hadn't even fallen apart/turned it self off. I have had quite a few phones. The Nokia 3310 was my first. This is by far the best phone I have ever had. It is very user friendly. It is VERY durable. My phone went through a lot and never had but a scratch. It was dropped in a pool and still worked. I had this phone for two years and never had any problems. I have learned my lesson. I got my Nokia 3310 two years ago because it was very popular and I have been delighted by it. It is an ideal first phone for buyers because it is very easy to use and the shortcut keys are extremely helpful for people in a rush. Texting is easy (although predictive texting never seems to have the word you're looking for) and can be easily sent to one person or a group of friends. The Nokia 3310 was my first phone and it's still my favourite. I dropped it a thousand times but it came out unscathed evertime. I remember once I dropped it in water and thought that I lost it this time but I disassembled it put in front of heat blower for around 15 minutes , assembled it AND IT WAS STILL WORKING - IT IS TILL TODAY! I had a Nokia 3310 for a year only beacuse I changed with my Nokia 3510i. When I compare the 2 phones together I realise that there are not many differences except a colour screen, polyphonic tones and MMS.
All this phone needs is a good camera and a colour screen to make it one of the best phones in the world.
If you need a phone with great reception, durability and performance... then you should buy this phone.

I've had a Nokia 3310 for 21 months now, and it's been fantastic. The only problem I had with it for a while was the network - so I got it unlocked from Orange and put on Vodafone 6 weeks ago. I love this phone, OK, it doesn't have the mod cons, but it is reliable, and that's more important. Unfortunately due to heavy usage the battery on mine is now wearing down, and I'm going to have to buy a new phone in the nextcouple of days. I've had my trusty Nokia 3310 for years now. Even though I'm upgrading to a new mobile phone my 3310 will be my first love. With my new phone I will be sticking to nokias as they are so easy to use. The 3310 is great if you only want to call people and text. For added extras this isn't the phone for you. Easy texting, phoning, number storing. Easy access to free ringtones (because it has a composer) and logos.
Small, the battery lasts ages. There are thousands of cheap covers out there so you can change it's look at will.

I've had my Nokia 3310 for two and a half years now, and have treated it pretty badly to be honest. Still it has taken everything like a phone, and I've been surprised of its high quality (having heard complaints of its POOR quality). It's hard to say much about the functions, you can call and write messages, and that's pretty much it. For me those have been well enough, and considering the reasonable price, can call this one of my best deals ever. (read more)

i've had this phone on pay as you go for over 2 1/2 years, i've had no problems with it, i've dropped it loads of times.
the buttons are a bit easy to press and keys lock has come off a few times, it's annoying but i will wear tight pants!
the battery life is pretty good, but i bought a new battery cos after a year and a half i had to charge it every other day.
spare parts like covers, batterys flashing bits and bobs are really easy to come accross because the phone is so common.

I have the phone for a year and i have no complaints about its functioning! In my country it`s a very popular phone iven if it`s kind of old!I like very much the posibility of customize the phone and in that subject it`s the best(in my opinion).It laks a few features but it has others that compensate like easy composeable ringtones,screensavers(a great thing for it`s age),corency convertor,stopwatch and many others!It`s prety heavy for it`s size but it`s worth every penny! The poor little thing hasn't got much status anymore among all the new phones with their 'polyphonic ringtones' and 'media messaging' but that's kind of why I like it so much. (Read my review there under expert reviews) But i had it for over two years when it first came out and was cheap (£89) then the price shot up. (£139.99) This phone comes backed with lots of stuff, 35 Monophonic ringtones and 7 free spaces to make it your own. I have had the nokia 3310 for over a year now and i still have it but don't be fooled - that is not because i like it, that is because the price of mobiles is expensive if you want a decent one. The nokia 3310 is outdated now. A lot of the features have been upgraded on most nokias since (8210 8310 7210....). If you are thinking of buying the nokia 3310 now (december 2002) stop! I have owned my 3310 for about 11 months and after my pay up front contract ran out I bought a pay and go sim card. After about 3 months it started to switch itself off now and again. I have recently changed to an 02 pay and go sim card and the phone has learnt a new trick. It frequently says 'insert sim card' or 'sim card rejected'. The phone will then sometimes disconnect from the network make one of those statements and then re-connect with no help from me, or at a time it chooses and... (read more)

Did exactly the same-have had the E700 for 3 days now but am sending it back for a replacement-another nokia! All the good bits of the 3310 are just not there with the Samsung. Can't be doing with it! Classic case of looks the part,but.................too many ifs and buts...........just not my cup of tea I'm afraid.
