I purchased a Lowepro 400 from Jessops online, with a 14 day delivery, which i was ok with. I kept a track of progress with my purchase but noticed after 7 days it appeared not to be going anywhere. Bought pentax k30 in Oxford st today and was told we would get cash back deal but it has expired ,my switch card was declined but it turnes out this is a problem on their part not mine also they have no stock of memory cards etc so cannot honour bundle deals that are advertised. I ordered a calendar as a christmas present on 11th December, I had an email to say on the 13th it had been dispatched. I thought that was quick. So ordered another on the 14th. Confirmation of order, confirmation of delivery... then a "your order is ready to collect" Wonderful so qucik! Went to store & collected. Only one of the two had been delivered... Ordered an SLR camera from Jessops. Used the interest free option. Once I had ordered I rang cutomer services to upgrade to Saturday delivery as it didn't give me that option online. The person I spoke too gave the impression he couldn't be bothered and said it was 'too difficult to change the order'. Wasn't impressed but didn't push the issue. Pains me to write this because there is a lot of good history behind this company and the high street shops still seem OK. As an online retailer also OK until you have to deal with Customer Services.....oh dear. Without going into the specific details of my complaint to Jessops there is a complete disconnect within their Customer Services Team. You should abandon photography and take up prophecy although Jessops demise has been on the cards for some time. Old Frank must be turning in his grave :-(.
The ONLY Internet 'shop' I can give an unreserved thumbs up to is UK Digital Cameras whom I have dealt with on a number of occasions. There are others who are OK, but all too many are not worth even extending a middle finger to and have pride of place in Bertie's Big Book of Obscenities.
I'm glad you seem to have recovered from your almost death wish and I hope everything got sorted out in the end but I have to wonder if a lot of your angst might have been avoided by a thorough perusal of ReviewCentre.com which comes highly recommended for sorting out the wheat from the chaff!

Like so many others, I was promised next day delivery, but the item was not sent - the tracking info says it is on 'back order', though the complaints department said it wasn't on back order, but had not been sent because its value was over £200 and they had to check that the credit card had not been stolen first! I bought a Nikkon coolpix S4150, it worked for a few days until the battery ran down, I found I could not charge the Battery. I took the camera to the Abingdon store and demanded a replacement, they were useless and refused to give me a replacement or a refund, so much for the 30 day no quibble policy. It's pretty simple. I ordered a £20 camera mount on 1st June 2012 (it's now 25th September). It was in stock according to the website. I was hopeful for an early delivery. It was dispatched around three weeks later but never received, the tracking shows that it was lost by yodel. Avoid using Jessops. I ordered a lens and they cancelled my order with no reason. It was supposed to be delivered the next day and i needed it for a shooting, but it never did. When i went to check online, it simply said "order cancelled". Nobody (not even an email) informed me of this. Do not even try to get in contact with the manager, as this will be impossible. I bought a Nikon camera from Jessops through the Quidco website. I fully complied with the T&C and used the collect in store option which was listed as acceptable to Jessops. In the end Jessops refused to pay the cashback I was entitled to so I will never give them my custom again as they do not honour their obligations. I decided to use Jessops in order to buy a new Sigma 120-300mm OS lens purely because they offered a finance option, allowing costs to be spread out of 6 to 12 months after an initial deposit. The price was very competive to other online dealers, the only slight downer is the misleading free postage claims on their online site. Quite the opposite in Southampton store, Bought a EOS 30D From the old store many years ago and still go back to buy things always been really helpful and polite. Went in on the 8th to take a lense in to be repaired and met two of the most cheerful, helpful and quite well informed assistants Ive come across in may years. Jessops printed all my pictures the wrong way round (portraits instead of landscapes). So all the pictures are cropped too much, the photobook is worthless. Bought the Sony SLT-A55v since Sony offered VAT back. I financed it through their V12 service, because it was free. I thought it would have been set up quickly. However it took ages (2 weeks) to get confirmation and the right papers, etc. When that was done, the camera was send quickly.
Lesson learn: avoid their finance scheme if you can.

I have been poorley treated by Jessops, I bought a camera that had a fault and was made to feel that I had damaged it. I had to accept that the camera was going to be over four weeks at the repair centre and i may recieve a bill. after five weeks there was still no sign of a return and i was told that i would have to just wait.

Appalling company, appalling service. I returned a camera with a manafacturing fault last November. It was agreed by the store manager that it was a warranty issue and that that the camera would be returned in 2 to 3 weeks.
Two weeks ago, for the second time I made contact with the local branch to be told that they had received a quote for the work.

After being badly let down by Camerabox I cancelled my order for the camera and turned to Jessops. Placed order at 4.30pm on the Monday and at 11.15 am the next day a DHL guy was knocking on my door camera in hand.
