Good Points: Production quality
The Barry Williams Show - I'll get on to that later
Good meaningful music all round
Bad Points: Nothing much to report, but if I had to mention something it'd be that some bits don't work as well as they could. That said, you can just call it 'art' and this problem goes away.
General comments: For a few years now I've had other members of the family listening to Peter Gabriel, but it wasn't until I saw him on a live DVD that I began to appreciate his music.
A year on and I borrowed Up, put it onto the computer and then onto my iPod.
Most of the tracks are growers, although I liked them to begin with anyway, so that's to say that I like most of the album now.
The best track has to be The Barry Williams Show - you'd understand better if you've ever seen The Jerry Springer Show, which this song is based on. I got into a strange habit of watching that in large doses, which is no good thing, but I'm all better now.
All of the other tracks are good, but I'm yet to really settle in to the album, so maybe then I'll post an update or something.
Definitely recommended, but this isn't the normal shallow kind of stuff that many people will be used to no doubt.
