I brought a wire to connect my iPad to my TV from Trafford store the employee told me that a certain wire Would work better however when I got home the wire didn't work and was wrong I then brought the wire I needed. i have found out today that hmv have stopped the points scheme (which was only good at the beginning) which makes me laugh cause they will be one of the stores that lose alot of money over christmas. i have to buy an Ipad 4 for my wife and i was going to get it from hmv for the points but because they are so rubbish thay have ended up losing about 1000 pounds just from me alone and if other people are thinking this way then hmv are on the verge of going out of busness. what a stupid company... Here we answer the most common questions asked when a shop goes bust. Can I use HMV and Blockbuster vouchers? A number of high street stores have refused to allow customers to use vouchers once they had gone into administration - even though they had already accepted money for them. To say im unhappy with HMV is an understatement, not only have they failed to deliver my Cd and Dvd Boxset, but they also took the money out of my account this was on the 14.1.2013. Trying to get in contact with anyone to do with HMV mainly their administrator Deloitte is like trying to get in touch with the queen, the difference being a member of her staff would contact you. HMV website is down and besides calling, there isn't a way to chase an order due to received in 24h. I think is a waste of money calling though to customer services. The reason why I done it online is because the store has sold out and told me to order online that was quick. The birthday girl is waiting for her present still. The same has happened to me, what has happened with your order? Have you recieved it yet? And what have you had to go through to get any answers? I dont know what I can do at the moment, can you get money back from the bank if you have proof of purchase and no order/response from HMV themselves?

I contacted them by email given instore: HMV@deloitte.co.uk and called 0207 303 0700, given by the store and on their website.
No reply from the email but on the phone they confirmed that if I paid already is because a dispatched was ordered.
Still waiting for developments...

I'm in the same boat. I tried to contact Deloitte today but no one picking up the phone on the number given out when you call HMV customer care. Absolutely terrible position that they are in but like you I ordered before their company collapsed. I also have an email to say it is on its way.........date 14 Jan

I've been to my local bank and they've said if you got proof of emails you've sent them after 15 days of sending an email you can report the item to them as not been recieved and you can get a full refund. :)

Placed an order 7 days ago on Black Friday weekend for a box set set at reduced price. The status of the order is stating "Awaiting Stock Allocation". I have e-mailed their customer service to chase this order and have been advised that they are waiting on their suppliers and if I don't want to wait to cancel the order. i had the same problem with a boxset on pre-order. i ordered it when it was first available to pre-order and when it finally came to release they had more than tripled the price and wouldn't send it. so i cancelled it and bought it elsewhere for less than the pre-order price.

I pre-ordered a Skinny Puppy CD which at HMV was cheaper than any other on-line store at £9. On the release date 2/7/2012 the price was increased to £15 and delivery 3–6 days. My order is still open at £9 however on the 20/7/2012 beyond the 3-6 saying ‘awaiting stock allocation’. I assume this is because HMV does not want to honour the pre-ordered price and I assume one day they will just cancel the order. Very poor service but I will keep my order open until they cancel. Paid an extra £6.60 for express delivery for a birthday gift that I needed to be delivered on time. Arrived 3 days later, i.e. similar to or slightly slower than standard mail. Not impressed won't use again. Their description of Express delivery is 'within 24 hours of shipment'. This glosses over the fact that getting the product ready to ship may take (it appears) days. These have always been dispatched and received on or around the release date without any problems. Everytime this happens the issue is simply put down to \"awaiting stock allocation\", as if that is a satisfactory excuse. Ordered an Angry Birds iPod docking station online as HMV were quoting one of the best prices, also showed item would be dispatched within 5-8 days. Two weeks later no sign of item and after phoning customer services find out it's not in stock(suggest it never was) with HMV and isn't going to be until after Xmas. Twice I have ordered stuff from here twice it's been a disaster. Constantly advertising items which are not in stock and won't be for a long time,ordered a Samsung Galaxy tab cover, the payment was taken twice and it turned up 3 months later even though I had cancelled. Hey! I have the same problem....exactly the same problem as you. My ticket never arrived despite paying £3 for my tickets and making endless phone calls I was made to wait and no one rang me back. I sent email but no reply so I emailed twice again the following day. Surprisingly, they replied and was told they managed to get me duplicate that I can collect on the box office... I rang again today and asked why I have to collect them when i paid for postage. I told the guy I paid for postage so If they can't send it to me then Id rather get a refund. The guy said they dont give refunds then hung up on me while im talking....It was just rude and I was not given a clear explanation why I never received my ticket.

Bought some dvds on friday, they were all here by monday! Great value for money too! most of the dvd's I bought were during their £2.99 sale, that and I got my favorite anime season 3 of Bleach from HMV online. I will be using hmv.com again for purchasing more of my dvds as the choice is excellent and the dvd's arrive within a few days once payment is made. I bought a Tim Minchin DVD for my Uncle's birthday. I needed fast delivery however was only given the generic terms 'standard' and 'expedited' - it would be handy to have a explanation of how long these are likely to take in the checkout where you select them. In the end I took a punt paid for the expedited delivery on the hope it would get there. Luckily it did! Hopeless - still awaiting my order yet no-one seems to be concern about when I ring. I am now thinking I will have to order from a different shop as it was meant to be a present - ordering 2 weeks in advance I didn't even consider that it would take this long!
Never again will I be using HMV even though I do ALL of my shopping online I would rather pay extra than bother with hmv even again.
I think they should at the very least inform you that they struggle to delievr anything within a...

Well, let's say that I saw a Russian film and an Argentinean film that I love on HMV about two years ago. Two years later, the Russian film still 'hasn't been released', even though I bought it via another store half a year ago, and the Argentinean film has disappeared from their catalogue, even though I attempted to order it with no success a long time before it was removed. HMV.co.uk has to be bar far the worst website I have ever bought from (well tried). My delivery status says still waiting I've actually just had to cancel it and thats the second time I have done this. I recieved no information about my order (both times) except for when I canceled them and lets hope they dont end up charging me they didnt last time. I ordered a PS3 game from HMV for my son last week, I ordered on Wednesday and paid an extra £6.50 for 'express delivery' (I assumed it would arrive before Saturday) unfortunately not it was sent using Royal Fail who of course don't deliver on Saturday
I called HMV for a refund and was told that If I had used the FREE shipping service it would have been dispatched quicker and would have arrived on Friday.
Shocking service!
