    it took almost 2 weeks from ordering an instock item to recieve it, no help at customer service, shokingly bad from one of the biggest retailers of dvds

    Ordered Guitar hero world tour "BAND BUNDLE", which consisted of the wireless guitar, drum kit, microphone and game for ps3. For £99, it was a steal, but unfortunately it was me that was robbed! Instead I received just the guitar and the game pack that retails at around £64 on their on website, and I had been charged £99 for it.     Well i ordered a few games,and i waited a few months, phoned HMV to ask where it was, and all i got was 'sorry' about 10 times. So i cancelled my order...and i'm still waiting after 2 mounths. They suck! nuff said

    I pre ordered a CD from HMV and on the email it said that the CD would be with me on they day of releasei checked the order on the website 1 week before the album was due to be released and it said completely shippedhowever i am still waiting for my cd 3 weeks after the cd has been released!!!!i have rang up hmv and they said they cant help because they sent it and tried to blame it on the postman.then i checked the order on hmv and it said ordered failed to shipso i went to the shop and bought ...

    Not really v.impressed with HMV. Ordered a boxset that said it was in stock and would be dispatched within 24 hours. 1 week later it was still processing, so decided to cancel! The other 2 items I ordered were a good price, however, delivery time is ridiculously slow! (especially when compared to play.com) To be honest, I wouldn't order again, unless they had an amazing offer on!

    They can order almost anything they don't have in store and call when you can pick it up at no extra charge. They are helpful. hmv.co.uk is great.

    When I tried to order a Dr Who DVD using the Customer Service telephone number, in spite of them reading back my card details to me, they still tried to take the money from an older, no non-existant card.They then got my order "stuck in the system", telling me how sorry they were and how unusual this occurance was promising to send it out that very day.It is now nearly a month since I first placed my order and, surprise surprise, I am still waiting.As this is the latest in a catalogue of errors ...

    HMV are the biggest joke ever!My first order was for goods to the value of £20 using a £20 gift card, however, they took £1 from it, as a credit check. without informing me and which was not included in the final price; meaning I was £1 short on my order.For my next order, I used my debit card, however, they tried to take the money from the previous gift card (no money left on it!) - despite confirming my debit card details to me.My order then got stuck in their syst ...

    I have ordered three times from this website and all three times I have had to wait nearly two weeks for delivery of my items. When I have tried to contact customer services to enquire about my order, they were most unhelpful. Although the prices are low and delivery is free, It is not considerably cheaper than other websites such as Play or Amazon, who offer quicker delivery and better service. Best advice is too look around other sites to see if there is a considerable price difference on what ...

    They do response sometimes.... As I wrote above, I place an order 4 of February, emailed them month later asking why it hasn't been done yet, answer was:It's out of stock at the moment. But don't worry, we're doing all we can to get it to you as quickly as possible. Plus, we won't charge you until it's in the post.     Well, I haven't finish my adventure with HMV. I ordered movie on 4 of February and it hasn't been sent yet. They are still waiting for supplier. They did reply for my first email, but didn't for second, when I was really angry (but not rude). I am extremely dissappointed service they are providing. They advised me to cancel the order if I dont't want to wait. There is no due dates, it's just as soon as possible, which doesn't look very possible...     Excellent service from HMV, I shall return to buy other items from you. I have already told several people just how efficient you are. The DVD is of a film (Tribute to Pavarotti) which I had seen at a cinema recently, and the DVD is perfect quality.

    I find the HMV website fun and easy to use, I've used them 12+ times and I don't care they lost an order, (even though it was my first one!)Free shipping, easy to use site, I like you can add to the basket without going to it. Will use again and would recommend to friends.

    I bought a 3 disc DVD set for my father for Xmas and one of the discs was faulty. I emailed them and was told that he would have to send the disc back before they would believe it was faulty and send a replacement disc out. He did this from his address with a note explaining the problem plus his return address, then after nearly 6 WEEKS they send the replacement DVD to my address in London. So I know have to wait till i see him, or post it to him at my own cost.

    www.hmv.co.uk has a nice website, good online prices. One bad point is cannot use (shop bought) HMV gift vouchers online!!! I think their high-street prices are terrible. These days, who buys a gift card which cannot be used for an online purchase? It's a real shame to have to pay almost 1/3 more for the privilege of having to struggle to the shop. Surely HMV are missing a trick here?

    Ordered on 4 different occasions from HMV.com and each time has been terrible. It's worth paying an extra bit of money and ordering from a decent site like play.com

    I ordered Guitar Hero World Tour and Far Cry 2 for XBox 360, Ultimate Force Complete Box set and Band of Brothers Box set on 15th Dec from HMV and up until now it has not arrived (24/12/08) HMV's terms and conditions say that if an item has not arrived, leave it 14 days before you contact us. I also ordered 2 other DVD's but my order status after 5 days for these 2 items, still said 'Order complete awaiting dispatch' I cancelled them. I emailed HMV on the 18th Dec and received n automated reply ...

    I've received an HMV gift voucher for xmas.
    I'd spent a while searching their website for the items I wanted to buy and found the site extremely slow, only then to find in the small print that the voucher can't be used online. I expect that many people will buy the products they found online anyway, then use the voucher when passing the shop.
    I hate the shops at xmas and during January sales, so will pass the card on to someone who likes Malls and in future continue my avoidance of this seeming ...

    I tried to order a Wii bundle from HMV. It contained Mario and Sonic at the Olympics. I spent 3 hours trying to process the order on the website. I eventually gave up and tried to ring the order through. The customer service adviser's computer crashed but after 20 minutes or so the order went through. I verbally ordered a Wii bundle with Mario and Sonic at the Olympics.

    Although HMV are a little cheaper than other big websites, the process of ordering online on the HMV site was very very slow. It was frustrating when I had to keep refreshing the page during the ordering process, especially when I got to the card details and had to go all the way back to the beginning again - in the end I gave up and went to another site and paid a little more for the item.

    Cheapest is not always the best way - I want good service so I'll pay that few pounds more for a fast onl ...
