Good Points: abundant memory, very cheap, some applications are usable, voice recording, easy-to-use graffity (easier than palm graffity), quite reliable, easy-to-use sync to pc, good-looking pda, backlit available

Bad Points: very limited applications, not supported anymore by vtech (and others?), very power-hungry (especially with voice recording), occational hang (particularly with rechargable batteries), end-of-development linux os, quite large size (to fit into your palm or pocket), no infra-red, no expandable memory, no physical keyboard, some unexplainable bugs still existed

General comments: V-Tech Helio PDA ---
    - Abundant memory keeps your applications and data handy (no need to sync very often)
    - VERY CHEAP! no other PDA can match the price
    - If you're just using it occasionally and solely for address/phone storage, it's fine. Otherwise, looke elsewhere
    - I've been waiting for a year in vain for any games/applications to come up (don't even think about new os update, newer apps/games)
    - Don't use voice recording or backlit too often, as this would drain your battery in no time (you don't need to wait for a day to drain your battery for such things!)
    - Use alkaline batteries only for reliability and keep a couple of spare batteries. Don't wait until your helio out of battery or you'll loose your data
    - In spite of many drawbacks, I will still keep it (well, until I've got some bucks to buy Compaq i-Paq)

All-in-all a great PDA, especially for the price (I got mine at an Office Depot close-out sale for under $100.)
The scheduler works well, especially when you synchronize it with Outlook2000's recurring appointments. It can import from many different e-mail/scheduling programs (Lotus Notes, Outlook, etc.)
