The Nokia 6210 is brilliant, The battery life is good, the ease of use is great! I constantly transfer data via a Sync cable to the desktop PC an Infared to the laptop. I use the Sony Ericsson HBH-200 Bluetooth headset which is small enough to get into a crash helmet - yes it gets used on a motorbike! Handsfree options offer auto answer and voice activation.
This is the best phone I have ever had - tried several other Nokias but keep coming back to this one...
(With a review like this I might be able to get a job at NOKIA) But it is just so good - why have they stopped making it?

Used this Nokia 6210 handset for its third year now, and tried and tested a few more mobile phones since then, but have always reverted back to this faithful old friend. Useful for my laptop modem connection. For a business person, it's perfect, easy and quick to use - no fiddly menus to scroll through, or hidden buttons to accidentally press. Bought one new battery this year (slim) and it's like brand new again. Very professional phone - can't find another to beat it...yet

I have had my Nokia 6210 mobile phone for about 1 year now. It's a great phone. The best part is the phonebook that carries features that other Nokias don't have. The battery is long lasting and the screen is very easy to be read.

My Nokia 6210 phone has never indeed let me down from the time I purchased it. It is a pretty old model when compared to Nokia's sibblings but then again the features can continue to serve other manufacturers a great competition. I've been a Nokia user from the 6110 days and Nokia has always never failed to deliver a firmware that thinks of tomorrows business rather than today.
I use it with my Palm m125 and the handshaking is pretty smooth. I am able to access my emails and also WAP in a very timely and fashionable manner on the PALM.
The cyber silver version is the latest 6210 edition and this comes with bluetooth ready for data connection. The set also comes with the 1100 mAH Li-Polymer battery that could give me a nominal 5 day usage without having to re-charge. Of course I do switch it off from 12am till 7am daily. Unlike some people who like to tell you that it can last 10 days with 24 x 7 usage.
The memory contact is the most amazing part of this phone. One entry can store 3 contact numbers, 1 email and 1 text message. The memory is huge and the memory management has been very stable and never let me down by freezing up or etc. I prefer to store my sms in the m125 as it has indeed a bigger memory capacity for archive.
The reception is great and I must say one of the best for a Nokia. The SAR value is slightly on the high end if compared to other Nokia models but then again you cannot compromise on this as the 6210 is truly a business class phone that aims on data management and wireless transactions.
The sad thing about it is the absence of WAP 1.2.1 which does not allow it to incorporate push technology features like email sending/receiving from the phone directly. I guess this is a GPRS feature which I believe is in the 6310. The launch for this model is yet to come here but I'm sure you can guess my next phone ... ???
One other thing that may concern some users of the 61xx series is the battery connection. I do admit that the 61xx series were prone to having loose battery connections over time but this has been rectified in the cyber silver batch of the 6210. I think its got something to do with the Li-polymer battery connectivity and weight that gives the phone a very good grip at the back. Maybe the s/w version may have something to do with the stability of the phone too as Nokia are very software driven. Unlike others that prefer upgrading h/ware, the s/ware option creates more flexibility. Present s/w version for this set is V5.36 issued on 14 Nov 01. You can check this by pressing *#0000#.
If you are a serious user and truly want to maximize your mobile phone usage by being mobile, than opt for this great piece of technology. The superb voice clarity and excellent data transmission puts this phone above all others.
Good work NOKIA!

I'm from the philippines. Nokia 6210 is perfect. My Nokia 6210 is made in china maybe thats way I found no problems in using it. The menu are good and very useful compare to 8250 and others. When you buy cellphones dont look at the size or the design but look at the substance.

Is it true what they say here in the Philippines? that the 6210's performance depends on where the phone was made from ? ex. they said that the reason why the 6210s made in the European countries hand here in the philippines is that those phones are designed for cooler climates as opposed to asian models designed for tropical or warmer climates...
its actually the first time ive heard such a remark...

I saw the 8210 in a few magazines and fell in love with it - i went along to my local store and realised that the phone felt and looked like something you'd expect to find in a toy shop - it had cheap plastics and had little class or style. I had almost left the store thinking nokia had taken the "small phone" idea too far when i discovered the 6210e. PERFECT!!! It had all the features you could possibly want and it looked stunning (i admit the black version offered by some operators is not as attractive). I've had the phone a few months and the only problem i have seen occour in the phone is when sim cards are changed the phone thinks a second line has been introduced and displays an annoying icon in the top corner. This however was not my fault (The shop had obviously been messing with sim cards) and the store sorted me for a new phone.

I know its all about opinion but your review of this frankly awful phone is rather way off the mark when you look at the other reviews which really slated this heap of junk.
I write reviews on phones for my Uni newsletter so I have been through about 50 phones in the last couple of years and owned about 10 including the 6210. Without doubt I had this phone the shortest time because it was so poor in everything it did, far too flimsy, bad bad bad reception, call dropouts, weak battery life amongst many other things.
You like the phone and its up to you but try one of the new state of the art phones like the Ericsson T68,Samsung A100, Siemens SL45 all those phones are top notch.

All I can say is...just you wait! I thought it to be quite a sexy wee phone when I got it first as well...that soon wore off as it started to randomly delete number off my phone and then to freeze for no apparent reason and now my most recent one (yes,I too have gone through a few!) has just completely died. Here's hoping that at least your honeymoon doesn't end in a divorce!! Best of luck.......

so far, there are no problems. I've had this phone for about a month already. I'm just scared about the battery. Hasn't failed me yet, but in my 6150, it took about 5 months before my vibra LiION battery messed up, so i'm gonna wait that out first. one thing i can say about the phone is that it picks up a really strong signal. So i'm always in the network. i always have a stronger signal than everyone. it's cool.

The 6210 does not have a Vibra battery. The Vibration unit is in the top end of the phone.

The reason your 6110's battery went is because it did not have a vibration function. 3rd party manufacturers constructed the vibra battery to fill the then Nokias main weakness.

I assure you that your 6210 battery will be fine and feel safe to use the vibra alert. (Its so weak anyway that it can't do much damage to anything)

This is a very stylish model weighing just over 100g with the Li-Poly battery, but not too small to be difficult to handle (like some of the 8000-series). My major design gripe is that the menu buttons protrude above the level of the screen (they are actually the highest point of the phone when it is placed face up on a flat surface), making them susceptible to accidental activation.
This phone comes with a CD of customisation and device-interfacing software, with latest versions available for download from Nokia's websites and a plethora of documentation and support.
I would recommend this phone for users who would benefit from its full range of network, internet, infra-red and other data-transfer capabilities; however it is less suitable as a first phone or for a user who would prefer only basic functionality, as it has a complex menu system and numerous configurations and options to wade through.

Being involved in the media industry I need the best from my mobile world, the 6210 is the perfect solution. No other phone on the market offers the same features and versatility on such a user friendly platform. 10 out of 10 to the guys at Nokia. If you are always on the go and need to be in touch with the world at any given time this one's for you!!
I understand the initial buzz when you use your phone for the first few weeks but having had the phone for a few months now do you still think this phone is the best one for you? From my experience I found the 6210 to be just a dolled up 6110 and how old is that phone, like yourself I am always on the move and the Outlook synchronisation is a absolute lifesaver but my old Ericsson had that and Ive had that phone for ages. Ive become disillusioned with Nokia and their disregard for their customers, the technology on their phones are lagging way behind others. In protest I got rid of mine for a Sony (i like to try all brands) and will not be getting another Nokia until they start releasing cutting edge phones again.
Thanks for reading this im sure you probably disagree but thats what this forum is for. Bye
