General comments: Jill Scott, Who is Jill Scott? - This is the single greatest work by a 21st-century poet to date. The smooth velvet lyrics and milk chocolate sounds of this artist are out of this world. Jill speaks to a lost generation that grew up with the Chi-Lites, Curtis Mayfield, Barry White before the 90's, Al Green, and Dion Warwick before the Psychic Hotline! She is funky, she is real, she is soul. Look out Aretha! ... there is a new queen of soul, and her name; Jill Scott.
