    Good Points: Colour Screen
    Small Size
    POP3 Email
    Cost

Bad Points: Expensive to unlock to another network
    Reception ?
    No downloads

General comments: This Philips Fisio 825 is a good basic colour mobile phone. It is small and easy to use. You can set up email (POP3) and this works well (see earlier post on how to do it). Sound quality is good and quite loud. My phone has never locked up in the 11 months I have owned it. I got it for £70 with £25 of call time on Virgin. There are no downloads available and you can't change covers which is a problem for some people. I do have a problem with reception and I am not sure if it is the phone or the Virgin network. I am switching back to Orange but will keep this phone for emergencies! Buy it if it is cheap.

I love this phone, it isn't like everyone elses! The Philips Fisio 825 is secure as it isn't easy for anyone to pick it up and use it. Excellent different layout and quite cool! In the year that I have had this phone I have had no problems, it has been really good! When it did crash on me, I had just dropped it and so I'm not suprised! It is a really good phone I highly recommend it, if there are any problems with them they are caused by missuse! The phone tells you storage details and wha ...

I bought this Philips Fisio 825 as a present for my son. Looked pretty, and was lightly used. Bluetooth not used. Then the Mobile Phone froze and packed up. It would turn itself on.Was purchased in Nov 03 and details registered on philips Web site. The phone froze and became unuseable at the end of March, four months of use. I sent it off back to Philips and they use SBE in Kent to do repairs. It takes a fortnight to have it checked but got a quote for £79.50 for repair of replacing Mainboa ...

I bought the Philips Fisio 825 phone in March 2003 as a Virgin exclusive offer from the Link. I was convinced to buy because it was available with so many features such as e-mail and Bluetooth on pay-as-you-go. Disappointingly, after several calls to Virgin, I found out they don't support e-mail. This is mainly a criticism of the Link who should have considered that the main selling point (e-mail) was not supported by the air-time provider. However, Virgin staff had no idea what I was talking ab ...

Bought the Philips Fisio 825 phone for £52 + PP just to get bluetooth function for handsfree as new law comes into effect on 1/12/3. Was very cheap as all other bluetooth phones cost a fortune. Was conned as it was advertised as having polyphonic tones and downloadable games, pictures etc. etc. IT DOESN'T do any of that and web sites are impossible to find. Phone looks ok & is small but buttons are too close together. Game (Brick) is rubbish and takes up too much memory but you have no opt ...

I completely agree with fin on his review. Te Philips Fisio 825 mobile phone is loaded with bugs, which means the phone is blacking out a lot means having to take the battery out. You cant get any photos onto the phone and none of the email and GPRS items work. It is impossible to get pictures off WAP, and the menu is far to slow. When you first get it it looks and seems fantastic, BOY DID THEY TRICK YOU. i am a young guy that cant afford to go get a new GOOD phone every six months, i found this ...

Nice build!, really nice build, looks pure & rich! Nice use of Bluetooth, good improve resolution against Fisio 820. I have seen and used new Philipe 630 i must say it is very nice made phone, nice shape, good resolution, nice features, but waiting for new Philips 530, looks amazing.

Well what can i say that hasn't been already said, the Fisio 825 is great in theory shame the reality doesn't live up to the expectations. I bought the phone for my girlfriend cause she wanted a phone she could download ringtones etc. She loved the phone when she got it but after a while she realised there was no where to download cool stuff. So i was really miffed because thats the only reason i bought it. (She says she still likes it though)

I've owned my 825 for around 4 months now and am still very happy with it. I paid just under a ton on Virgin pay as you go. At the time, there was nothing else that could touch the 825 for features at that price.

Only two niggles are the utter absence of any downloadable ringtones or games, and the poor contrast of the colour screen, which is not very legible in sunlight.

First of all i bought the Philips Fisio 825 for 130 quid and it was perfect. a couple of months passed and i realised that this phone is a complete waste of space. firstly, there are now websites to download anything, the e-mail oesnt work and neither does the wap. the game takes up way too much memory.

i eventually unlocked my phone to Orange where i managed to get the wap sorted but nothing else. i sent my phone off to be reformatted but still wasnt right. we spent most of our time ringing ...

Like most of the reviews I am generally happy with my fisio 825. However it is really narking me off that i can't download screensaver, logo, etc. I can't even have a friend sms them to me as, this only works if the other person has a philips phone. please help then to identifiy some sites where i may be able to download the above, and if possible free site!!!!!

The Philips Fisio 825 is a fantastic phone. At only £89.99 on the Virgin network, it is the best colour phone for that price. Other colour phones for costing a similar amount do not have the features that this phone has...namely bluetooth. You will be struggling to find another colour phone with 4096 colours at this price.
Note that GPRS is not supported by the Virgin network. In order to use GPRS, you will have to switch to any other major network, apart from T-mobile.

The philips fisio 825 is a small phone... looks cool and just slips into your pockets. the photocell is a big attraction.. but lack in functions.. you can't setup the volume without someone phoning you first. accessories is near impossible to buy. Connecting to a bluetooth enable PC prove very difficult, even when u connected it doesn't work. If i had known about ths phone in the first place i wouldn't have bought it. So my advice, if you are thinking about buying this phone, DON'T RISK IT.. unl ...

Well ... at alast I've found one good point about the Phillips Fisio 825. Fisio 825 is great for tracking Time. Yep, that's it. It can realy wake you up - and that's about it. Wait a minute .. it can also be a perfect target - for all sorts of weapons (I'll try that one in the morning). The only thing that comes to my mind at this time's : Die Philips .. die !!!

To start with I was very impressed by the Philips Fisio 825 mobile phone. Lovely colour screen - icons seem easy to use etc. BUT the negatives definately outweigh the positives. Phillips don't seem to give a damn - once you've bought the phone that seems to be where customer care ends. Reading other peoples review this would seem to be the case for a lot of people. The instructions are appaling especially for the main selling feature "fotocall". Really hard to get bluetooth set up to recognise y ...

To date, I have not been able to find a provider for polyphonic ringtones for this model.

Setting up a pop3 account through FreeUK.com was simple and worked first time. This is a much cheaper way of using email than the WAP connectivity.

Overall, the phone for the price offers a lot of good facilities.

The handbook takes sometime to work through and is not easy reading.
