    Elvis Costello & Burt Bacharach, Painted From Memory is a smoochy, soft and melodic CD. the wife and I made sure it was in the car whenever we took a long drive somewhere and it's still one of my favourites. Fab music, lyrics and overall delivery/effect. EC never sounded better. The clarity of his vocals were pristine; as never before. BB's timing and distinctive arrangements were on the money.     Bacharach is an American music icon. Performer, composer, and producer in a rare league. Costello has the perfect voice and phrasing style to pull off what sounds to be a retro album that somehow sounds fresh. A great collaborative effort that won a well-deserved Grammy. Who would have believed that the suave Bacharach and the 70's/80's punk rocker could have produced such a collaboration that sounds wonderful. Yet, they did. (read more)
