    Good Points: Thorough, fast, great attachments but also works without using any, light is a genius idea


    General comments: A bit painful the first few times I used this epilator, especially bikini area, but became painless quickly. Hair is becoming much thinner, longer periods in between epilating. Will never go back to shaving... why didn't I buy this sooner! Have a few friends who borrowed it and they immediately bought their own.

    I have used my Braun Epi 4 times now and am still left with stubble! I regularly exfoliate, am I doing something wrong?

    I recommend the Braun Silk-Epil Xelle epilator, and I found it well worth the money. I would not use anything else now. I did my legs and bikini line without too much hassle or pain; it was bearable. I did do my upper lip, but found this a bit painful, but I reckon if I do it bit by bit and more often I will get used to it. Don't be scared of it, as it is easy to get used too, and leaves you so smooth it is worth persevering with it.

    I bought one of the Braun SP3470 Epilator - EasyStart BodySystem, as the reviews said it didn't really hurt and was great as a first time buy for an epilator. Well, I've used it 4 or 5 times and now it's gathering dust in my cupboard and I've gone back to razors!. It does hurt - even if you use the cool pack that comes with it. I also found I had to keep going back over the same bit of leg, as it would miss bits.

    I bought the Braun SP3470 Epilator last year, after I had previously bought a Philips version that I didn't have much joy with. I had much better results with the Braun. I like all the different settings, and the shaver option is useful too. I use it for my bikini line, and for my armpits, although I think most people use it for their legs. It hurts too much when I try it on my legs, so I stick to an old fashioned razor for them!

    All in all the Braun SP3470 Epilator has saved me a fortune in professional waxing. I will still get waxed a few times a year, then keep things at bay with the epilator.
    It works. It's not TOO painful. It's easy to use.

    If you have fine hair then I would say use the Braun Epilator. It is much better than waxing, but for strong hair it is not too great especially when there are alot of them.
