hilux 3.0 G D4D 2011 philippines first of all, comfortability of driver & passengers SO TIRING - a horseriding feeling everytime we drive it even just for a short distance. (try also having a conversation with a friend on a phone while on the road & they can attest that you're like on a horseriding session) visibility driving under the rain is terrible and dangerous - no deffoger at all.. after the rain stench-smell coming out fron the a/c itself is so disgusting, imagine 2 months old and yet it started to smell already? spare tire carrier & locking device - not reliable, it was just a week old when i lost me spare tire though chain, flat bar and padlock was in place.. i like its engine, audio, and security though - reliable indeed, from carnappers, high enough for flooded areas and rough roads(tiring though)

22 12 08 just bought 3lt Toyota Hilux d-4d invincible with 4000mls on clock from main dealer. When cold, injectors rattle sounds like half of a socket set has been dropped in top end of engine, Toyota dealers said ths is normal for this vehicle. On further investigation their mechanics and lady on parts desk said many new 3lt d-4ds were coming back for new injectors and injector pipes replacing, the noise disappears after approx 10 mins of running, my vehicle has been on toyotas diognostics and fault has been confimed. I had a Nissan Navara previously this is a more gutsy car especially for towing.

I currently own a Toyota Hilux Invincible 54 plate. I needed a reliable pick-up truck to suit my business needs, however, this vehicle has caused me nothing but grief since I bought it, which, coupled by pathetic customer care, has cost my company and I dearly. It started when I noticed an unusual clink from the propeller shaft was getting gradually louder. I immediately booked it in to be diagnosed by my local Toyota dealer, and was informed, firstly that nothing could be heard and as I grew concerned I insisted that their technical representative accompanied me as I demonstrated the noise. Following this the dealer informed me that the car would need to be in the garage for almost 2 weeks and the only replacement vehicle they could provide me with was a Toyota Yaris!!! Obviously, having commercial vehicle insurance, my insurance company wouldn't cover the Yaris, thus my company would have to incur additional costs to a hire a pick-up until mine was fixed. It gets better!!! The garage then rang to inform me that they had wasted my time by stripping the wrong part of the vehicle in search of the problem, and that in fact they didn't know what was causing the problem. They have now arranged for a specialist to diagnose the fault, however, trying to contact the service dept. has proved almost impossible. I strongly recommend against buying a Toyota of any form as they are obviously hanging onto a reputation that is outdated and unjustified. Even Renault provide better service and that is saying something!
