Good Points: Still working on that!
General comments: I currently own a Toyota Hilux Invincible 54 plate. I needed a reliable pick-up truck to suit my business needs, however, this vehicle has caused me nothing but grief since I bought it, which, coupled by pathetic customer care, has cost my company and I dearly. It started when I noticed an unusual clink from the propeller shaft was getting gradually louder. I immediately booked it in to be diagnosed by my local Toyota dealer, and was informed, firstly that nothing could be heard and as I grew concerned I insisted that their technical representative accompanied me as I demonstrated the noise. Following this the dealer informed me that the car would need to be in the garage for almost 2 weeks and the only replacement vehicle they could provide me with was a Toyota Yaris!!! Obviously, having commercial vehicle insurance, my insurance company wouldn't cover the Yaris, thus my company would have to incur additional costs to a hire a pick-up until mine was fixed. It gets better!!! The garage then rang to inform me that they had wasted my time by stripping the wrong part of the vehicle in search of the problem, and that in fact they didn't know what was causing the problem. They have now arranged for a specialist to diagnose the fault, however, trying to contact the service dept. has proved almost impossible.
I strongly recommend against buying a Toyota of any form as they are obviously hanging onto a reputation that is outdated and unjustified. Even Renault provide better service and that is saying something!

Anybody who wants a workhorse should know there is no better pick up than the Toyota Hilux 2.5 d4d 4x4. O.K so it does't have the performance of the Nissan Navara, or the syle of the Mitsubishi L200 but these will be dead while the Hilux will just be getting broken in.
Service intervals are great 10000 "intermediate" and 20000 "full" and the new D4D engine has loads of low down power and gives me between 35-40 mpg (leaves the others for dead) trundling around a private estate, Figures would be ...

These Toyota Hilux 2.5 d4d 4x4 vehicles are simply the best for offroad and site work. They do not break down, I've had 3 of these machines and they do not break, unlike its rivals. The D-4D powerplant is excellent. Fuel economy remains the same at all speeds. I have also been involved in a few accidents in these vehicles and they are as safe as houses. Buy one of these HI-LUXs. There just perfect.
