Good Points: Works, simple to operate

Bad Points: Not all that good

General comments: Hmm, started off OK, but probably would not go for this Indesit D63 again. Wash cycle average - can't get the burnt on stuff from baking trays without an extra scrub unlike they claim.
Intermittently sticks in pump out mode and no matter what you do to the clock and powerfailing this mode will not release.
The powder tray stopped workign ages ago so it goes in the cutlery basket now, just had a look behind the control panel and a loose piece of polystyrene may have been jamming the release solenoid but cannot confirm this until the pump out error is resolved.

7 years of use (2-3 time weekly) and not a single mechanical problem. Friends have same Indesit dishwasher for 5 years and also experienced no problems.

This machine doesn't work well and seems to have a fundamental design flaw that leads to the main pump motor failure.

We have had this Indesit D63 for about 4 years and about six months ago the wash pump had to be replaced, now it has failed again. It has never washed well and the engineering is obviously fatally flawed - and dangerous if you read Watchdog's assessment.

Ive had my Indesit for roughly 7 years now and the only problems in the past have been leaking from below for no apparent reason and again for no apparent reason it decides not to leak. For about the last year now it doesn't seem to wash the dishes in the top tray they are left with some kind of grime and little bits all over them which need washing by hand, defeating the purpose of the dishwasher.

My Indesit D63 dishwasher was more trouble and work than it was worth from the outset. It was not a labour saving device at all. Appalling build quality. After 3 years of very light use the nasty programme controller failed. They are £40 over the internet, but you have to know when to quit. I failed to give it away on Freecycle, which says it all really. Indesit has no integrity, neither do 'Which' who gave it an undeserved top mark rating. If you want one, you can collect mine for nothing ...

After having my Indesit D63 dishwasher for 29 days the element failed. Curry's refused to take it back, Indesit say it's Curry's problem. Trading Standards sorted it out with me in the end.

I have had this Indesit D63 machine for about 4 years. Just after the warranty at 1 year and 1 month the element went. Once cured it washed okay 7 times out of ten, but sometimes everything has to be washed by hand once its finished its cycle. It's a bit of a lottery really, whether it will come out clean or smeary. At two years it failed to drain, don't know what's wrong but the engineer said this is a common problem with Indesits in his experience. Got another problem, guess what the elements ...

While our Indesit D63 dishwasher performed OK for the first 4.9 years, on the eve of the extended warranty expiring so did the machine. After the 5th 'engineer' failed to fix it, I pointed out that the warranty said that the machine would be replaced if Indesit couldn't fix it. They said that they wouldn't consider a replacement until it was at least 10 years old. In all it took 9 visits to fix a broken pump. This included 1 trip to fit the new pump, 1 to fit some sort of electrical kit, 6 to tr ...

I've never had any problems with our Indesit D63 Dishwasher. I was concerned because this model was reviewed on BBC Watchdog. It appears a fault causes a fire, but I have not had that problem.

It did however go wrong yesterday, as it blew the house trip. It has a live to ground short, probably indicating a heater fault. I cannot get it fixed for a few days.

I would however buy the same model again.

I have not used the Indesit service, as I prefer a small local company.

The dishwasher has been a total waste of money since the day we bought it

The engineers have been out 11 times in the 20 months we have had it.

The items replaced are as follows:- new door, new pumps x 3, new terminals on the 3 new pumps, new program control pack, and a new motor.

I'm sorry, but if a dishwasher can't wash dishes without the thing falling apart every 2 months, on average, then there must be a serious problem with this model!

I phoned Indesit to ask for a replacement, ...

Indesit D63 - It's so bad that I wouldn't give it away and just took it to the tip. Which reviewed this product and that's the reason I bought it. It's not such a hard job to wash and rinse a few plates, but pile of rubbish rarely did the job first time and that was after a 2 1/2 hour wait only to have to wash them by hand. Stay well clear.

I have had this Indesit D63 model for 2 years and it has broken down 5 times, all different problems and the indesit service is awful and costly - I will never buy an Indesit again.

The inverted U shaped pressed steel frame that holds the rubber door seal has come adrift on my Indesit D63i.e. The spot welds have failded. I have resorted to fixing this frame to the inner casing using small self tapping screws but how is the rubber seal held in place? If this by a high temperature water resistant adhesive, what is recommended and where does one purchase?

Indesit D63 - I am French and use it in Toulouse.
    - The Indesit D63 makes leaks on the floor very often.
    - A triangle plastic filter was furnished at first and it was destroyed by itself after 1 year of use. It seems that the filter is now in inoxydable steel. I'm waiting from the manufacturer a new filter for 2 month at this time... And got no delay...
    - I encountered malfunctioning of the program button which made me many times choose a programm to get another....
    Choose another feature.. ...

Indesit D63 was purchased in May 2001 with, thankfully, an extended warranty. Since then engineers have attempted to repair the dishwasher for various faults a total of 9 times. The main problem is that it leaks from underneath and the engineers can find no fault with it. Every time the kitchen is soaked the machine is switched off until an engineer arrives which usually takes 2 weeks. The engineer then attempts to diagnose the problem and the dishwasher won't leak. New parts are fitted "just in ...

My Indesit D63 purchased in December '03 has a fault where it will not fill with water. Water is leaking out of the bottom. It was repaired and a modification to the terminal fitted on Thusday 17.03.04. The engineer reported it had a safety cut-out device, and as water was touching the terminals (extremely dangerous in my view), the cut-out had worked. Now, on Sunday 20.03.04, my machine has broken down with the same problem. I am not very happy.

I've never had any problems with this Indesit D63 dishwasher, even though this model has recently been on BBC Watchdog! it has 7 programs and i use the 'economy' wash the most which washes the dishes at a respectable 50 degrees and dries, within 35 - 40 minutes. excellent value for money and i expect service to be good too, as when i rang and mailed indesit about the watchdog program, they got back to me wthin 1 hour!
definitely would recommend this dishwasher, i hope it lasts a long time.
