Ive only had the car for two weeks but so far it has been really good, although i would agree the pedals are too close together, and it is a bit noisey but no major problems. Its quite nippy as well, best car i have bought!

I loved my pegeot 206 1.4 lx I go from plymouth to manchester quite regular and its never let me down. The only fault that i can find with it is that the pedals are too close together

i love my Peugot 206 to pieces but would never recommend anyone to buy one as the repairs have cost me a fortune. My mechanic can't find out whats wrong with it either, the engine diagnostic warning light keeps coming on and i know am not the only one with this problem.

The Peugeot 206 1.4 LX is a really nice looking car, fast good little run around. The only problem i have had with my car is the warning light that came on which was a faulty wire

The Peugeot 206 1.4 LX looks good. I have bad bad luck with cars before but this Peugeot 206 1.4 LX I have owned for 2 weeks and its not even been on my drive yet. The garage told me the speedo had gone so they would fix it ,3 days later they told me the ecu had gone up and they sent away to peugeot apparently I get it back on Tuesday 2 and half weeks later.

I've had a Peugeot 206 1.4 LX for two weeks and I should have listened to my friends! they all said it was a bad choice to buy a french car and it's true! I had a mark one clio before this it did 160k before it had to go and I want it back! Although this car is stylish and more modern, there are plenty of niggly little things that annoy me that my older car didn't have, like the steering is sluggish. screen misting up constantly. the car squeaks and rattles. the engine is loud. the gearbox is te ...

I owned a 205 a few years ago and decided to trust Peugeot with this purchase.

I bought the 1.4 S model since late 2006. My initial experience with the car was good, it felt quite nippy to drive and looked not too bad either. It was cheap to tax and insure.

A few years down the line though and my opinion has changed. In the time i've owned the car the exhaust has been replaced 3 times, the passenger side caliper has been replaced. The car goes through break pads like no man's business!! The ...

I got the '06 1.4, with 54k on the road from 0, and haven't got any major problems. Only repair was exhaust which is quite badly done, I've changed two for two years and now I put custom one hoping to be better quality. Gearbox is also louder then I expected but still quite precise and besides the noise I had no troubles with it. Overall I like the car very much (reason I got it in the first place) for two years of everyday use I haven't got any serious problems and I hope it will stay that way. ...

Bought my 206 (2000 V Reg) second hand in 2004 when it had 25k on the clock. Now just reached 62K. During this time I've had fuel problems twice resulting in new fuel injectors ( £100+ each then all the work that goes with it), my gear box exploded ( £800+ - common problem apparently) and now the head gasket has gone ( £450 to fix and yet another common problem). Plus it puts its indicators on randomly. Don't buy one unless you like spending lots of money on fixing it.

Worst car in the world even worse than a Reliant Robin 3 wheeler beast! clutch has non of it, if the car feels like it, the engine will cut out on a long journey just to make your day that little bit better, to say it is a 55 plate with 13,000 miles on I should have to keep taking it to the garage every month (no exaggeration) because of unusual steer locking and sqeaking noises not to mention the overall problems I have with it! Keep well away, stick with V.W, SEAT and other car manufacturers e ...

I bought my Peugeot 206 in 2003 (53 plate) brand new. Its the 2003 special edition Entice model and havent had any problems (until yesterday!). It has now covered 42k when I noticed a collection of 'oily scum' in the water bottle. Having noticed it has been consuming loads more water than normal, I realised this is a tell tale head gasket problem. Having taken it to my local garage, they have assured me this is very common on Peugeot's and Citroens and I'm lucky its lasted this long! This is cer ...

I bought a 206 exactly a week ago, i havnt had a day driving it. Sitting at traffic lights it cuts out, going round a roundabout it cuts out, I got my two kids out it fast. Took it to peugeot who told me the ECU (the brain) was gone and it would cost £951 plus vat to replace. The service manager was fantastic and gave me a garage in Kirkintilloch who repairs them even though he could be sacked for doing this, its getting repaired at a cost of £200, and at worst replaced at £ ...

I've had my Peugeot 206 for 3 years now and I absolutely adore it! It hasn't (touch wood) had any major problems. I've had to replace the clutch but that wasn't really a surprise as it has done 80,000 miles. The only other problem I had was that the central locking kept bouncing, but all it needed was a new motor in the passenger door.
I've used the car to go on camping trips and it's amazing how much you can actually fit in such a small car! It's also coped well with muddy fields and steep hil ...

I have owned a blue Peugeot 206 GLX 1.4 for just over a month now and i have had no major problems with it.. shortly after buying the car i had noticed a loud clunking noise coming from the back end after going over bumps.. i had later found out that this was the bearing and rear axle which needed replacing.. apart from that the car is a dream.
All features like automatic windscreen wipers, fully adjustable driver seat and manual controlled passenger airbag down to the small details such as the ...

Having 4 people in a 206 is a definite no, not to mention its complete lack of power it scrapes off speed bumps. I also have that weird rattling noise beneath, even the garage dont know what it is. First month I had it the power steering fluid leaked and I nearly crashed. The clutch is the weirdest thing ever, it comes out way too far and the peddles are too close. I found out last week that the gear box is on its last legs but it always has been a bit clunky. The seat adjusters cracked off. Fin ...
