Happy halloween, things that go bang in the night. Absolute nightmare, ive never been so scared or frightened in all my life. Its called a booze cruise cos u have to be pissed to get on it and stay on it. Ive gone three nights without sleep and feel like ive been in seclusion, we attempted to make fun of which we was watch people being injured, people fighting through frustration, and to attempt to dance my friends described as (Bambi dancing on ice)and the thought of a six hour delay was horrendous, if anyone states it was brilliant are MMMMMAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDDDDD !!!!!!!!

At the start of the trip there was alot of hanging around, we was delayed at portsmouth for about 3 hours.
Once on the boat we went straight top our room which was small but clean, found the beds really comfy.
The onboard entertainment at night was good, except for the disco at night where the dj didnt really cater to everyones tastes, i asked several times for a song request and he just ignored it everytime.
The food on the boat is extremely over priced, and even for that price the food wasnt o ...- Read Guest's review (217 words)

Cabin near engines, hardly any sleep, never saw entertainment, not enough seats. More like a booze cruise, saw more whales on the boat than in the sea. Bilbao city tour excellent. Food excellent, highly recommended in carvery. Nightmare getting off boat- Read Guest's review (41 words)

Went on the pride of bilbao with a mate for the first time in December 2 years ago, and have been 7 times in the past 2 years, in my opinion it is a FANTASTIC break away for the money, i enjoy it so much that as soon as i get off I'm on the phone to P&O the next day booking the next one, brilliant laugh everyone is on to have a good drink and a good break away from England, supprising how many older people there are go but they are all up for a good laugh! going again in 2 weeks and cant wait.- Read Guest's review (104 words)

Four hours late leaving Portsmouth due to a medical emergency on the inbound voyage. However, the P&O Mini Cruise made the time up and we arrived as per schedule.
Very choppy in the Bay Of Biscay (both ways); if you're prone to seasickness, give this voyage a wide berth because it IS a messy one!
Prices are naughty onboard (3.10GBP for a pint of Becks, 18GBP for a 3 course carvery). Rooms are basic but adequate; shower was surprisingly good, plenty of hot water.
Staff are so-so, mostly Span ...- Read Guest's review (105 words)

Had a very enjoyable trip on the Portsmouth to Bilbao minicruise, with P&O ferries.
- Cabins were small and basic, but had all the amenities and were clean.
- Entertainment was very good with shows on every night and entertainment during the day too.
- Food was very good, although a little expensive. There were a selection of restaurants onboard all serving up good food.
- There were a few bars on board, drinks weren't too expensive either.
- The staff were friendly.

Just been on the Pride of Bilbao on a Stag weekend and had a fantastic time!
I DONT do cruise's and was very sick on even the Dover to Calais crossing as a teen ager, I'm 32 now and only felt bad when we crossed the tip of the French coast into the bay of Biscay (which was the opposite of all the reviews, beautifully calm) the ship stayed very smooth for a day of so and we all enjoyed a sun bathe with the free sun loungers.
Food was of a very good standard but not cheap £10 for full Engl ...- Read Guest's review (366 words)

Portsmouth to bilbao P&O Mini Cruise. Worst nightmare ever. wouldn't recommend to my worst enermy. Cabins not clean, rubbish under beds, facilities bad 1 socket that didn't work rec 1 towel per person and hit and miss if towels get changed and beds get made each day. Food was nice but same every day in all restaurants. Staff helpful but never looked happy in their work. Don't know if it was just our cruise or if they are all the same but was full of stag/hen parties, that were all cabin hopping ...- Read Guest's review (147 words)

Just returned from our first (and last) P&O mini-cruise and it was like Butlins On Sea! Cabins were small, very difficult to get hot water for a shower and not even a kettle in there to make a drink. I had been warned that the Bay of Biscay could be rough but wasn't expecting it to be that bad, kids were throwing up all over the place! Food was good but expensive. Entertainment was good but the same every night. You were charged for the cinema which I didn't realise. Swimming pool was freezi ...- Read Guest's review (119 words)

We are just about to go on our 3rd mini-cruise from Portsmouth - Bilbao, and I cant wait. Wev'e had a truly brilliant break on both of our previous trips, the ship is really clean, well equipped, staff are friendly, cinema is great and I cant think of a single thing I would want to change. We had a rough crossing last time, so spent more time inside our cabin (hubby couldnt find his sea legs) than we usually would but the beds are comfy and its even nice to lay and just listen to the radio. Its ...- Read Guest's review (121 words)

My friend and I booked the Dolphin and Whale Watching cruise for a long weekend. After arriving at the check in point and seeing the hen parties and drunks we nearly changed our minds and went home again! Even the driver who took us to the boat said you wouldn't pay him to go on there. What had we done!!
Luckily the boat is large enought to lose all the partiers. The cruise was split into 2 camps, the nice people who had gone for the dolphins and the smokers and drinkers who just wanted t ...- Read Guest's review (138 words)

The cabins are fairly clean on the P&O Mini Cruise, Portsmouth to Bilbao, yet dated, the windows smoky and rusty, top deck stinks of smokers and you dodge the butts and fumes when the chain smokers are out in force, which is 99% of the cruisers!!!
The entertainment apart from the comedian is more suited to a 70's talent show, pretty dire and out of tune, just crap really.
The only good points were seeing dolphins and getting a bottle warmed up by Cafe Olivo's who were the pleasantist staff onbo ...- Read nellylois's review (125 words)

P&O Mini Cruise was good value, I would use the service again. The cabins are small, I would recommend a cabin upgrade if you can. Also I would suggest a sea view cabin, great views. The food is good, especially at the buffet restaurant although quite expensive. The staff are invariably willing to help and are talkative. The captain provides very detailed information about the journey. The scrolling map is very useful to provide information about suitable times to dolphin watch. We didn't go an a p ...- Read Guest's review (191 words)

The P&O Mini Cruise had well appointed rooms with more than enough places to eat in but one thing that I think would be a nice touch would be a scrolling map showing where the boat was at any time, otherwise I should like to sail with P&O again in the summer to take advantage of the upper decks.- Read Guest's review (89 words)

It's great to have a year round car ferry subsidised by the people who are happy to spend 2 x 32 hours at sea in rough conditions for the sake of 4 hours on land in Spain. I felt so sorry for the bedraggled people (including small children) in shorts hanging around the Port area in the rain at 7 in the morning. Could get trip to Guggenheim, but it's a fair ride into town in rush hour. Castro, the fishing village, not a great alternative in pouring rain. Or a bit of shopping? I delivered my daugh ...- Read Guest's review (146 words)

I was really worried about this trip as I had heard it can be rough on the Bay of Biscay, it was ok going there but on the way back it was rough it didn't make me ill but I did wear sick bands the whole trip and you do get used to it, also it is part of the experience of a cruise, entertainment on the ship was brilliant, food was a bit dear and made the cruise more expensive than we would have liked it, lovely food though. Cinema had a lot of choices of films it was £5.50 adults, didn't go ...- Read Judy25's review (181 words)
