I took my 14 year old son on mini cruise and was unsure if there would be enough for him to do, to my surprise there was plenty from the small swimming pool (indoor) sauna's also there are two small cinemas showing up to date films and a gym. The entertainment was fab the staff were very helpful and friendly the food served was plentiful. The rooms were clean and nice hot showers. We were very lucky when we went as the weather was great and the sea calm, the only downside was you didn't get... (read more)

Just returned from this trip and we are so sad this is ending at the end of the month. We would love to have done it again...and again!! We are a family of five and although we had a rough few hours on the return trip (can't help the weather)we cannot speak more highly of the ship and staff. We read the reviews before and found it helpful to take extension lead, kettle and snacks although the food wasn't over priced. Not long been back from a very enjoyable time onboard the Pride of Bilbao. I took my 2 children while my husband was working and was a bit worried before hand if they would be bored or not but this was not the case at all. We had quite a good size cabin as you only really sleep in there. We was really lucky that we saw lots of whales and dolphins. We could not believe how close they come in to the boat. The staff we're very friendly. Food was very good with a choose of places to eat. I did... (read more)

I thought the trip was really good. When we arrived at portsmouth we had to wait until 10:30pm to depart this was because of rough sea in the english channel. When we finally got onbaord we were amazed by the size of the rooms we were expecting them to be small but they were bigger. The food onboard was really nice and the staff onboard were very friendly and happy at all times if you needed something they would try there hardest to get what you wanted. A crowd of us went for my birthday last year and are subsequently going again this year, I consider that for the amount paid for the trip it is excellent value for money and considering onboard you are a captive audience the prices really are not too bad.

Just got back from a 3 night break on the pride of Bilbao minicruise and myself and my boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed. Had a 3 hour delay in portsmouth due to the ship being held up in the bay of biscay due to bad weather, only bad point of the trip! Set sail from portsmouth at 1:30am approx, bar in the show time area extended opening hours to 4:00am. We had a 2 berth inside cabin which was very clean, cosy and basic. I went with a Whale watching group and therefore had an excellent time. We had permission to go on 'Monkey Island' which is based above the Captains deck. We had a 360 deg view and thus managed to sight both Whales & Dolphins.
The Pride of Bilbao is starting to show its age BUT at the same time it will be missed. What a shame they couldn't refurbish it? I didn't really notice any bad behaviour as some others had prehaps we were just lucky, also we went in the middle of the week too. Maybe... (read more)

Week-end was just an absolute nightmare, I booked this for my husbands birthday, weather was dreadful so our expectations of seeing dolphins and whales was non-existent. Yes Hen & Stag parties making lots of noise and chasing around knocking into people and on occasion someone was actually physically assaulted for no apparent reason. We went on the mini cruise from hell last weekend. Seriously .... my advice to anyone contemplating this trip, and thinking I'm a whiner, is to go and experience it, after all it's cheap enough! There's just one problem, "you can't just leave!"

This ship is just about ready for its proposed journey to the scrap yard. No repairs have been carried out too this rusting hulk ,i.e to spa bath, and the general mood of the public facing crew is that a lot of them are going to be out of contact when this route vends in September. The recent change from the "red duster" to a "flag of convenience" should also give a clue to a reduction in standards with "Portsmouth" being hastely painted over by "Nassau" at every point! - swimming pool is the same size as 4 bathtubs put together and was always full

Breakfast in the coffee bar floor 6 works out cheaper than else where. The problems started off in our rooms, one of the beds had a blood-stained duvet, which is extremely disgusting and unhygienic, secondly on the P&O website it stated that Heinz baby food would be supplied free of charge, when we were onboard there was only Spanish baby food available, which my 8 month old baby did not like so she basically had to starve while we were onboard!! and on one...
