wed been in june and had enjoyed so much that we booked again.as it was the last but 1 sailing before the final 1,they seemed to have run out of a lot of food and the duty free was practically empty.the staff werent as pleasant as before, but because of the good group of friends i was with ranging from 15 to age 67 we still had a ball.we are however disappointed the cruise has now stopped and are in search of an alternative. was good fun! can be abit boring if your a teenager, not much to do for my age (17) otherwise, food is great, advised to take travelling tablets.
i would deffinatly go again with different people to get & for a laugh.
best time was when we arrived in Spain, was good to touch land for 4 hour hours, and to shop around. thumbs up! wasnt to bad .. i plan to book again within the next week. so excited! x (read more)

I took my 14 year old son on mini cruise and was unsure if there would be enough for him to do, to my surprise there was plenty from the small swimming pool (indoor) sauna's also there are two small cinemas showing up to date films and a gym. The entertainment was fab the staff were very helpful and friendly the food served was plentiful. The rooms were clean and nice hot showers. We were very lucky when we went as the weather was great and the sea calm, the only downside was you didn't get... (read more)

Just returned from this trip and we are so sad this is ending at the end of the month. We would love to have done it again...and again!! We are a family of five and although we had a rough few hours on the return trip (can't help the weather)we cannot speak more highly of the ship and staff. We read the reviews before and found it helpful to take extension lead, kettle and snacks although the food wasn't over priced. Not long been back from a very enjoyable time onboard the Pride of Bilbao. I took my 2 children while my husband was working and was a bit worried before hand if they would be bored or not but this was not the case at all. We had quite a good size cabin as you only really sleep in there. We was really lucky that we saw lots of whales and dolphins. We could not believe how close they come in to the boat. The staff we're very friendly. Food was very good with a choose of places to eat. I did... (read more)

When we finally got onbaord we were amazed by the size of the rooms we were expecting them to be small but they were bigger. A crowd of us went for my birthday last year and are subsequently going again this year, I consider that for the amount paid for the trip it is excellent value for money and considering onboard you are a captive audience the prices really are not too bad.
Upon arrival in Bilbao we went on the trip to the fishing village where we continued to carry on our party shinnanigans and were made very welcome, I am so looking forward to this coming weekend 20th aug and will sure be in party mode... (read more)

Had a 3 hour delay in portsmouth due to the ship being held up in the bay of biscay due to bad weather, only bad point of the trip! Set sail from portsmouth at 1:30am approx, bar in the show time area extended opening hours to 4:00am. We had a 2 berth inside cabin which was very clean, cosy and basic. I went with a Whale watching group and therefore had an excellent time. We had permission to go on 'Monkey Island' which is based above the Captains deck. We had a 360 deg view and thus managed to sight both Whales & Dolphins.
The Pride of Bilbao is starting to show its age BUT at the same time it will be missed. What a shame they couldn't refurbish it? I didn't really notice any bad behaviour as some others had prehaps we were just lucky, also we went in the middle of the week too. Maybe... (read more)

After reading many reviews on this mini-cruise, we were expecting something of a booze cruise nightmare on board, but much to our pleasant suprise all we found was an enjoyable experience. We travelled on the Monday to Thursday mini-cruise, which we understand is the quieter of the two trips they do (apparently a lot of stag and hen parties go on the mini-cruise that runs over the weekend. This ship is just about ready for its proposed journey to the scrap yard. No repairs have been carried out too this rusting hulk ,i.e to spa bath, and the general mood of the public facing crew is that a lot of them are going to be out of contact when this route vends in September. The recent change from the "red duster" to a "flag of convenience" should also give a clue to a reduction in standards with "Portsmouth" being hastely painted over by "Nassau" at every point! Had a very enjoyable trip on the Portsmouth to Bilbao minicruise, with P&O ferries.
- Cabins were small and basic, but had all the amenities and were clean.
- Entertainment was very good with shows on every night and entertainment during the day too.
- Food was very good, although a little expensive. There were a selection of restaurants onboard all serving up good food.
- There were a few bars on board, drinks weren't too expensive either.
- The staff were friendly.
