My wife and I have recently returned from a 2 centre Thailand holiday arranged for us by TrailfindersĀ from the Winchester office. All holiday details - flights, connections , pickups etc were perfect, with very professional services provided by local personnel. Unfortunately, the second hotel was not to our liking as there were many steps and no bannisters etc, and we thought it to be slightly unsafe for elderly guests. Therefore we decided to move hotel. After finding a suitable alternate hotel close by, we informed Trailfinders 24/7 hotline of our intentions, and reasons why. They were excellent in their dealing of the situation, contacting both the hotel we were leaving and the new hotel we were moving to. Trailfinders explained to the new hotel they would organise payment and not to charge us anything until all matters had been completed, it really eased our minds. Although half way round the world, we were kept updated daily, and between Trailfinders, the hotel and ourselves, organised a final small payment, and continued our holiday very happily. I couldn't recommend Trailfinders enough - from their initial organisation to their customer Services whilst abroad - everything was excellent. I will definitely use Trailfinders in the future.

We booked a holiday of a lifetime with Trailfinders after researching a few specialist companies. Over three weeks in Western Canada and Alaska, no expense spared, full of activities. Cancelled due to the Covid pandemic. We were kept informed by the company at all times, and we requested a refund which was honoured in full. If we had booked our dream holiday without using Trailfinders, I'm sure we would be out of pocket. When it's the right time for us to re-book we will use Trailfinders again, an absolute gem of a company.

Received an excellent service from start to finish. Booked a multi centre trip and the hotel booked in our first location was even better than we had hoped for. Requested a hotel for relaxing, away from main tourist areas but with some local amenities and that is exactly what we got. Hotel transfers went smoothly and the whole experience was a pleasure. Our best trip to date. Would definitely use again and recommend to anybody.

We've travelled with Trailfinders twice now, once for an American road trip in 2013 and in April 2015 for a trip to Thailand. They organised both professionally and we couldn't have asked for a better service, their staff are extremely helpful and advise on hotels to suit your budget and not to maximise their profit. The American trip consisted of flights to San Fransisco, a stay of four days ,car hire and then on to Yosemite,Mammoth Lakes, Death Valley and then Vegas before flying to New York to finish our trip. All went well with no problems and it really was a fabulous experience. The Thailand trip consisted of a three night stay in Bangkok and ten days in Koh Samui, hotels were top class and the transfers just could not have been better, they used Asia World Travel and their staff just couldn't have been more helpful. Would highly recommend Trailfinders on my experiences with them.

We travelled to Myanmar with Trailfinders Bespoke in January. Everything was superb and faultless. Unfortunately, whilst in Myanmar we had bad news from home and needed to get back to England urgently from Ngapali Beach. We rang Trailfinders who were excellent. Within the hour they found us flights home for the next day and there were follow up phone calls from them and also help with insurance claim paperwork. We cannot thank them enough. The holiday and hotels that they had sorted for us in Myanmar was excellent.

We recently booked a 3 centre holiday to America.Trailfinders were able to match our required travel itinerary and the price was extremely competitive. We had flight cancellation problems in Chicago which was due to bad weather. This resulted in us incurring extra expense as we had to book into an airport hotel for 2 nights with meals etc. We also missed a day at our first destination. Upon return, we wrote to Traifinders Customer Service Dept who were responsive and sympathetic. We provided receipts of expenses. The airline company had no obligation to reimburse us yet Trailfinders, after investigating the situation refunded all our extra expenses. We were updated regularly on the progress of our claim. We would certainly use Trailfinders again. Thank you Trailfinders.

Just come back from holiday in Myanmar, can not praise trailfinders enough, trailfinders advisor was easy to deal with, understood our needs, hassle free from the start, from the suggested Airline (Eva Air) to the company used in Myanmar, trip was planned to perfection, good hotels, guides excellent, places visited unbelievable, not the smallest of problems. We also stayed in Bangkok for three nights and the hotel booked for us was excellent. Second time we have used trailfinders and will be using them again in the future.

After spending a couple of frustrating hours trying to organise a visa for India, I went to my local Trailfinders in High Street Kensington and was delighted with the visa service. The staff were friendly, attentive, reassuring and thoroughly professional. The application form was dealt with on the spot, and the visa was ready for me to pick up within the estimated ten days. The cost was more than justified by the peace of mind knowing that the paperwork was all in order and, despite the fact that I didn't book my flight with Trailfinders as I was using up some air miles and had to book directly with the airline, they treated me as though I was an esteemed client. I will certainly go to Trailfinders as my first option for future travel requirements.

Me and my wifes first experience of booking a self styled holiday, and we thought lets go to the experts, and we're glad we did. We went into Trailfinders Canterbury branch and left 2hrs later with a holiday of a life time all booked custom made to are own needs to the American deep south(fly drive). The trailfinders agent listerned to what we wanted from the hoilday and even come up with suggestions through his experience, all booked, flights, hotels, car hire, trips and tickets.Itinery easy to check via website. Fantastic.(Very very helpful staff, thank you). Tickets arrived as predicted 7 to 10 days before travel. The whole holiday went like clockwork. Excellent service, will most defiantly book with Trailfinders again. A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL AT TRAILFINDERS.

We have just returned from a holiday in USA which Trailfinders in Glasgow helped us to put together. As we were unfamiliar with all the areas we wished to visit the advisor patiently made a number of suggestions of what we might like to do based on our interests, some of which we accepted and some of which we rejected. Our holiday initially took us to Florida where we had already arranged our accommodation, then to San Francisco by air then a car trip through Yosemite and Death Valley to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon. They also organised our car hire in Florida and in San Francisco. As our trip unfolded we were so grateful for the excellent advice on accommodaton and excursions. The hotel in San Francisco was in a great central location and the trips that were organised were interesting and unmissable. The accommodation at Yosemite was great and in a good locaton to explore the park. The night we spent at the ranch resort in Death Valley was unforgetable and the hotel in Vegas was in a brilliant location and of high quality. The trip to Grand Canyon went without a hitch which was not the case for other in the group who had booked the excursion in Vegas. Had it not been for the knowledge imparted by the Trailfinders Advisor we would not have got the value and enjoyment from the holiday that we got. Well done Trailfinders, an unforgettable trip.

Went to Canada for 3 weeks as two couples in June 2013 staying in 6 hotels and using 3 means of travel. Trailfinders in Birmingham were simply brilliant. They helped design the tour and found great deals on transport and hotels. Nothing was too much trouble. I couldn't get the deals they got (saved us about Ā£1000). Every time I rang them whoever I spoke to couldn't have been more helpful & friendly. Any changes were made without fuss. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again (NZ next!) and recommend them without reservation.

This is the seccond flight I have booked withĀ Trailfinders. He couldnt have been more patient, tolerant and helpful to an elderly lady travelling to Melbourne to visit my daughter. He chose the best option and chose my flights explaing everything and answering my 'old lady' questions clealy. Sadly another operative actually booked the flight - who wasnt very patient. If you need to book a flight without much knowledge of the systems - Ask for him! Dont just righ and hope for the best - You never know who will be on the end of the line.

My Family and I are always on the look out for alternative and off-the -beaten track type holidays, well we struck gold this time. La Jaime is an authentic Beduin tent fully serviced to provide full elctricity, hot water, toileting, bath/shower and cooking facilities without compromising the tent and the rural tranquility of the spectacular mountaineous surroundings. It was trully fantastic, waking up in the morning , opening up the tent , breakfast outside and off-course the ritual swim before breakfast in the fresh water pool overlooked only by the guardian alpine and almond trees and mountain walls. Its removed and peaceful without being isolated or lonely. We met with other interesting guests over a social evening dinner hosted by the wonderful astute Williem and Richard. The drive up and down the mountain was endlessly breathtaking , and I suspect if we'd stayed longer than our week we would still be in awe of its wondrous beauty. My concerns of mosquitos, stiffling hot nights in bed with no air conditioning and no phone coverage for work were all layed to rest, and the lack of telecommunications until you got down the mountain was an added bonus in reality; everything else was not an issue, in-fact for parts of the nights we needed quilts because it was chilly (we went first week in July). I must add that my kids are aged 10 and 15 yr.s and I personally would not take younger kids there purely because the emphasis is on tranquility. I loved it, we all did and highly recommend it.

We have just returned from our honeymoon to Bali which we booked through Trailfinders. We mainly dealt with the Cambridge branch and they were fantastic. With the organising and lead up to the honeymoon they were great in answering all our queries and were very friendly. They were also true to their word with regards to all the extras which were included in our package, which overall made it a very enjoyable and memorable honeymoon.

I'm genuinely surprised that so many reviewers have had bad experiences with this Company. I have used them regularly for about 20 years and have always and great service from friendly, knowledgable staff! I have always used the Newcastle-upon-Tyne Centre, with the exception of one occasion booking a cruise through their Cruise Centre. I knew nothing about cruising and was given detailed information about various things to consider, right down to which part of which deck I should consider for our comfort preferences. I have always been called back when told to expect it. The week before the cruise holiday, I received an extra curtesy call from the representative handling the booking. He rang just to see if we had all of the documents the cruise line required and to ask if we needed any further information. I have never used their travel insurance because my bank accounts have always covered it. Therefore, I can't comment on that. Our flights for our next trip were booked direct through BA, but I still went to Trailfinders to book some of the more difficult to book hotels and I'll book our car hire through them to. Maybe some if their Centre's are better than others, but I can highly recommend Newcastle and their Cruise Centre.

We've just come back from the trip of a lifetime, taking in Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. Trailfinders (Dublin & Cork) did all the early legwork. They organised ten flights, a ferry crossing and two rentals of motorhomes. They also amended some dates as we fine-tuned our itinerary. They were effecient, courteous and extremely helpful. Everything worked swimmingly. Thank you to all the staff who dealt with us - especially Martin Deakins.

Susan, my wife, and I had to attend a wedding in Buenos Aires, so decided to take a lightning tour of Argentina at the same time. Our experience of Trailfinders has been excellent (or I should say that Susan's has, since she did the spade work!), as every aspect of the trip met our expectations. We gave Abe, at Edinburgh Trailfinders, a list of the things that we wanted to do (Buenos Aires, Iguazu,Mendoza, Patagonia, and back to Buenos Aires) and asked him if he could contribute any ideas. We also told him the type of hotel that we wanted to stay in, the trips that we wanted to make, and asked for guides and drivers. We checked what Abe suggested, on the Internet, and made some changes before agreeing our itenary, but there was no real problem with that (except that they couldn't book us into some hotels which we had identified), and the trip was organised very smoothly. We have just returned from the trip and thoroughly enjoyed it. At every stage we were met by a local guide and driver who looked after us at every stage. We were not let down at any stage by Trailfinders or their organisation of/for the trip. We would have absolutely no compunction in recommending Trailfinders to anyone. Our only advice would be that you check you itenerary to ensure that it is what YOU want, and if not have it changed.

Hi, I'm considering booking through trailfinders. Which hotel did you stay in in Bangkok? They have suggested the Banyan Tree for us. Thanks. Clo

Hi
we stayed in the Rembrandt which was on Sukhumvit Soi 18, the hotel had a pool which we used, we stayed on a room only so we never ate in the hotel, located about 6mins walk from the sky train and the hotel runs a shuffle to the station, easy walking distance of restaurants and shops and plenty of Starbucks, Trailfinders did get us a special price.
We also booked transfers with trailfinders from airport to hotel and back.
