Trailfinders charge their unsuspecting customers £15 per head for the 'ease' of doing an online Australia visa application. What they didn't tell us is that you can do it free by doing it directly via the Australian Commmission.
They also charged us £400 for 4 nights at the Hotel Jen in Hong Kong. By chance I checked with the hotel for their rates direct - only £256 - oer 55% less!
Spent all day today trying to get this resolved - to no avail.
I would avoid this tour operator at all costs. We will be trying to get our money back via the courts.

I booked for myself and my 18 year old son a flight, hotels, car hire and some entertainment through Trail Finders. On the morning of the flight my son had a seizure and was taken to hospital by ambulance. I advised Trail Finders as soon as their office opened that morning. Later that day I called all the hotels, car hire and entertainment to advise them what had happened and almost all of them advised me that there would be no charge.
Trail Finders have so far refused to repay any of the mon ...

Trailfinders is great! Excellent customer service, not pushy and keen to find the right deal for you! Much better than any other service I've used and for the flight I was looking at, they found me one half price! Most people complain because their flight was delayed -> trailfinders is a travel agent not an airline!!!! Greatly recommended!

Trailfinders provide great service every time I travel with them. Not always the very cheapest but I am a strong believer in the idiom that if you pay peanuts you get monkeys. In the previos reviews it seems that most of the criticisms are of people that don't understand the travel industry as airline delays and cancellations are the airlines' fault not the travel agents'.

5-7 years ago, Trailfinders booked us a wonderful round-the-world trip; & it could not have been better.
However. now with cheapie airlines & the internet, They have lost their way. They are trying to play the same game as the rest of the Americanised internet, . Now they are a waste of time ! They need to adapt & become more helpful for a change. We don,t want sell1 sell1 sell1; We want SERVICE!

I have been travelling for over 30 years and in that time I have used many airlines and travel agents... there is only one that can offer peace of mind that when something does go wrong (that's life and these things happen) they will sort it out and not leaving you hanging - their prime objective is to make you happy and the exceed this everytime - people love to complain it seems to be in the British culture just to moan and moan give credit where it is due - fantastic staff that have been to t ...

The holiday was organised as we requested, by a helpful and knowledgeable member of staff enabling us to sit back and enjoy everything about our wonderful stay in Thailand. Just returned from Bangkok and Krabi, everything ran very smoothly, all hotels and transfers as promised. Absolutely no problems. Thank you Trailfinders you did an excellent job and we shall use you again.

I have used Trailfinders twice and will never again use them. Last year my boyfriend and I travelled to Cuba with them and our flight from Dublin to London got delayed and we didn't land on time to make our connection. We had purchased a through ticket so it was the airlines duty to get us on the next flight and they did but with a different carrier. We got to Cuba and Trailfinders rang us to tell us that that Virgin were cancelling our homeward tickets because we didn't travel out with them an ...

Booked my flights to Australia/New Zealand in May (Virgin Atlantic). At the time, I asked about upgrading for the first part of my journey, from Lon to Sydney. Was told the price, but at the time, I thought it was a bit high, I wasn't told anything else at that time. A couple of months later when I was on the Virgin Atlantic website, I noticed that upgrading from Lon to Sydney had dropped to under £500. Rang Trailfinders to see if I could upgrade. Took them a whole day to come back to ...

Friendly, efficient staff, no queues or delays when attending their local branch. Dealt with visa application very quickly and efficiently. Airline tickets and hotel voucher arrived on time, and were correct. I think that in future I will make my own arrangements for any similar holidays booking directly on the Internet. They were unable to book a hotel for me in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi, as they seem to deal with only a very small number of hotels in Vietnam.
The hotel they recommended in Bang ...

This is the first time i've used trail finders in order to book a holiday, but as it specialises in round the world trips and long haul flights we thought we give it a go.We booked to go to Australia and they were very helpful and offered us varies ways of getting there (with different stop off points and staying over points) with the two major airlines that fly to Oz (Emirates and Quantas) trying to secure us the best deal avaiable. In the end by detailing specifically what you want, with or wit ...

Once the insurance company has your money, that's the last time you will have intellectual conversation with them.

We booked a hotel in Rarotonga back in February 2006. We found out in September 2006 that the hotel was undergoing significant refurbishment works. Trailfinders are under ABTA regulations to find us alternative accommodation, which they did, but for £150 more! Horrified, and after much correspondence and fruitless telephone calls, we cancelled our hotel reservation. I will never make a hotel booking with these people ever again. The fact that I have been a customer of theirs for 22 yea ...

I use Trailfinders every time and find that they are always professional... if something goes wrong (rarely) - like airlines changing their times - they will sort it out in a hurry.

Trailfinders - they simply never admit they're wrong and NEVER want to pay out.
My wife and I booked part of our holiday to India through this company, albeit a very crucial part - the Indian Airlines internal flights to get around this huge country. We painstakingly went through the flight bookings (of which there were about 7) in person with a member of staff and they gave us the tickets. Once in India, we found out, upon turning up at the airport, that one of our flights didn't exist - and h ...

I use Trailfinders all the time and have never had any reason to complain. They are efficient, reliable and very competitive .They give very good information on destinations and offer the personal touch. Can't fault them.
