I have exactly the same problem that many others seem to have. About 50% of the time, when I turn the radio on, it has lost all of its stations and presets. When this happens, and it happens a lot, I have to sit through a 2 minute auto tuning process before then having to manually tune in to the chanel I want. I don't even bother storing presets anymore because they will be gone the next day. Very poor.

I've had the Tempus 1XT for justover 2 years and there now appears to be several issues with it, which makes it less than useless. It retunes itself, fails to come on at the set alarm time, loses all the radio settings. Very disappointing for a £100.00 radio. Problem is that I also have a Pure Move, which has also failed, but luckely under warranty. I therefore strongly question the build quality from this brand. They've offered me a £60.00 replacement for the Tempus. I told them it ...

A fine radio hampered by shocking reliability. I have had two in the space of around 4 months and both went wrong with the same problem, it totally packed and didn't do anything. I found this unacceptable as my mother had one simalar to mine(a pure) that did the same after just over a year. If yours works though it a brilliant radio due to it's fabulous display, excellent sound and good materials used to make the exterior. However due to appaling reliability i could not reccomend one. I now have ...

I bought a Tempus three years ago and it has now stopped working, just a blue screen. I guess it will be out of warranty, but is a radio that cost so much really 'fit for purpose', especially as it has only been used for about six months of its life? Didn't old transistor radios go on for decades! Very disappointing

I bought my Pure Digital Tempus-1 radio in October 2004 and until about 10 days ago it worked perfectly. It is now not working at all. When I switch the radio on at the mains the display lights up but there is no information showing and none of the buttons work, including the standby button so it has to be switched off by the mains. I have emailed PURE telling them that I am aware the radio isn't under warranty any longer but for a radio of this calibre and price it shouldn't just stop workin ...

I think the Pure Digital Tempus-1 is a great radio but the reliability is poor. I've had it three years and it's started to forget its tunings i.e. the present stations disappear when the set is switched off. Good points are sound quality and its appearance. Also the LCD display has stopped working. Autotune button is too close to the standby button. I'm really disappointed in the PURE brand. I thought I was buying something really excellent - even Which? said so. I won't be buying PURE a ...

When the radio was new I was very pleased with it. But I moved out of London and where I am now other DAB radios can still pick up LBC but this one cannot.....

I have had two PURE radios now, the last one stopped working for no reason after 18 monts within warranty period , however the customer service at pure was so poor i gave up trying to get it repaired and went out and bought a Logik from currys at half the price with a useful mp3 player and the option of listening to FM if wanted. Whats more the sound is just as good as pure, I just hope it is more reliable. I for one will never waste my money on anymore expensive PURE products.

First DAB radio. I wanted a radio with alarm. Although not cheap itoozes quality in its sound and construction. Clear sound and locks onto signals perfectly. Snooze Handle a charm! Just stroke it to give the time at night or delay alarm.. Only point would be that clock display is either on or off.. would be nice to have it low lit when in 'off' mode at night.. but minor niggle. Lots of connection options on rear.. can be plugged into hi fi.. or PC for software upgrades. Excellent!

I wanted a dab clock radio. Tried the Bush - utter rubbish. Bought this instead (£99 mail order). Infinitely better. Only bad points are minor - see above.

If you are thinking about buying it as a radio and not a clock/radio, buy the Teac instead - the sound is much, much better.

This Pure Digital Tempus-1 is a very nice dab digital radio. The sound is crisp and clear and the cunning "bass reflex" system gives added realism to speech and music. It's easy to set up and operate with a consistent menu system if you are used to these things, but for the average person who's used to a dial-tune Roberts portable, a challenge too far.
Once set up, it's reasonably easy to operate - one knob for volume and one to click between stations. A few presets, menu and sleep complete the ...
