Good Points: The roof on my Peugeot 206 CC SE 2.0 goes up and down quickly, and with minimal effort. No need for roof covers.
    - 2.0SE has good specs/extras.
    - 20,000 miles service intervals.
    - Smooth, comfy drive.
    - Good posing machine.
    - Surprisingly large boot with roof up, not too bad with roof down either (as well as the space of the rear seats).
    - Hard roof means no icicles on the inside of your roof in the winter (as can happen with a soft top).
    - Fuel consumption not too bad, considering this is quite a heavy car.

    Bad Points: - The 206CC is really a two-seater.
    - Front bonnet of car very low, don't expect to see the rest of the car past the front window wipers.
    - Agree with previous review, in that the seat-belts can get caught on the chair handle to the side. The seat-belt feed cannot be moved up or down either - not a problem for my height, but may be a problem for the taller person.

General comments: The hard, retractable roof is great on the Peugeot 206 CC SE 2.0, making you feel safe and secure if, like me, you drive on motorways a lot. I previously owned a soft top, and you just don't get the same feeling.

The 206cc is for people who occasionally need to carry people in the back seats.

Read as many reviews on this car as possible. After doing so myself, I learned so much, including coming to the conclusion that I should stick to the ones made after 2002, as there had apparently been initial problems with the mechanisms on the folding roof.

Take the car you are interested in for a long test drive, as some cars can have a bit of a rattle with the roof down (also learned this from reading reviews).

Pulling away in first gear, then into second, it is a bit slower than smaller two-seater cars. You probably won't notice this if you are changing from anything other than this type of car.

On the whole the Peugeot 206 is a lovely car to drive. Light steering. All controls easily accessible. 6 CD changer would be nice. I'm sure there is room. As a four seater it is a bit cramped in the back. You can transport 4 adults for a lift home for a few miles, but would not do a long journey. It's not a practical 2.4 family car but that not why you buy it. With the roof down you will be very suprised how much shopping you can get in the boot. Beware of cream leather, it marks very easily and ...
