The Holden VS Calais is a brilliant car. looks great, runs very well and its not bad at all on fuel for a V6. the only downside i can think of is that is doesn't come in manual.

I'm very happy with the Holden VS CALAIS. Unfortunately it is the 3.8Ltr Ecotec and not the SC6 or 5Ltr but ohh well. Very comfortable for long cruises. The only thing i have every had a problem with is some interference between the engine and the steering wheel controls and interference between the rear demister and the radio antenna. (Turns out the antenna moved and was touching metal (earth)) Fuel econmy is great for a V6. I added a cold air intake which not only gave the gave a little more k ...

just got a Holden VS calais - drives well for a 12 year old car. has been babied and stayed very tight. economy is excellent, parts are easy to source and road noise is fine.

Have a VR executive that is for my everyday use 3.8 ecotech, has done 250 clicks still a great car. Totally reliable.
VS 5 litre Calais, is wrapped up in the garage - bought it from a retired enthusiast at 97,000kms three years ago - I've just done 102kms.
I think the VR & VS models still are great 'lookers', and seemed to be significantly lighter than the VT's onwards (correct me if I'm wrong). That translates to me me with the handling, performance and economy - as I said previously, please wo ...

I have had my Holden VS Calais for over a year now and apart from a few little things cant really fault it! i love this car but wish it had a 5ltr in it or factory sc6!
Luxury, nice looking car sits on road well @ 110kph on cruise control, has plenty of zap at the lights, plenty of creature comforts!

Take a standard Holden VS Calais with a V6 3.8 litre engine rated @ 147kw(200 Hp)add extractors and 2 1/2" inch exhaust and you have 170kw (235Hp). If an upgraded chip and cold air box are added the bonus is an additional 15 Hp .Fuel economy is IMPROVED at cruising speeds..try 6.8kms/l (about 42mpg)@ 130km/h (80 mph)..pretty good for a full size 5 seater luxury sedan with all the trimmings
