Just returned from our second cruise on Serenade - first was 2 winters ago to the southern Caribbean (without our son); this most recent one to Alaska (with our 10 year old).
Service and rooms were exceptional. Our 10 year old was NOT impressed with the kids club "Ocean Adventure" however; he felt it was too "babyish" as they lump kids up to aged 11 together (12 and older are part of "FUEL" - a kids club for the older ones). Went on the Serenade of the Seas cruise with 4 couples. Everyone got sick the day after we returned. Some of us had rooms on different floors and we live in different parts of Vancouver Island... wonder if anyone else got the same bug (July 5-12 Alaska run)?

Overall an amazing trip to the southern Caribbean. Ship was clean and the food was really good most of the time. Good points, rooms with Balconies, friendly Service and activities! Entertainment was fantastic. Fairly good value! Customer Service Desk had a few people having a hard time with English and Spanish. Casino tourneys waste of money and not well explained. Stick to the regular games.
We were supposed to sit with other honeymoon couples but sat with many other people out of our age… Read Full Review

The Royal Caribbean, Serenade of the Seas Alaska Cruise was out first cruise, and it will not be our last! Royal Caribbean took great care of us, and every person on the ship was working hard to make sure this was a cruise of a lifetime.
Thank you to all the Royal Caribbean staff! See you next year!… Read Full Review
