Good Points: Nice ship. Cabin steward was friendly but charged us mini bar we didn't use (cabin 8015).

Bad Points: The food was not so good as on Royal C. In the main dining room we had often the same items on the menu (14 day cruise), Breakfast and lunch was not so good anymore than last year?

General comments: When we got our credit card bill a month after, we saw that they billed us for $49.72 more than on our final statement. We asked the credit company and RCCL said it was from the mini bar (last night on the cruise). We never used the mini bar the whole cruise, so we think the cabin steward put it on our bill and used it for himself or billed it to the wrong cabin number. When he checked the mini bar we already left the ship early.
We live in Belgium so its difficult to complain and get our money back because we can't prove we didn't drink any thing out of the mini bar.

I think that Celebrity Cruises, Summit has adjusted downward, it appears, since 2001.
In my opinion, the food quality was poor, and the shops were mediocre.

The Celebrity Cruises Summit ship is very nice, but a little worn. Alaska is beautiful and worth the trip. Celebrity's food was not as good or as well presented as Royal Caribbean's is. The service is excellent - everyone on board was always extremely pleasant and helpful.

As a 30th anniversary celebration my wife and I booked an Alaskan cruise with Celebrity. The ship, MS Summit, was truly the peak of ocean cruising. There is one staff member for every two passengers and the service, attention to detail and overall standards are beyond anything I have encountered in many years of travelling. While this is not by any means a cheap holiday, it does provide value for your pound, dollar or shekel. The Alaskan experience is one we will remember for ever. Well don ...

Summit celebrity cruise ship was awesome. We cruised the Caribbean, can't remember which one...Mexico, Costa Rica, Key West....etc.

The Summit is truly a vacation floating!

The staff can't do enough for you. and such a great ship to find a quiet place, if you want to just relax.

I would definitely go again, but next time it will be longer than just 11 days, just not enough time for so much fun.
