Good Points: Excellent crew. Staff on board are friendly and helpful
Bad Points: Poor dress codes. Formal night states wear a tuxedo/dinner jacket or a dark suit. This means make an effort and not come to dinner in shirt sleeves. Should be enforced
General comments: The boat itself is fine. Crew were always cleaning paintwork and carpets. Outside there are a few signs of age with rust spots here and there. Cabins comfortable and soundproofed. Service very good, shows and food not as good as P & O.

What an experience we had with Celebrity Cruises, Mercury! This was our first cruise and gave us the taste to do it again. The crew were excellent. Friendly, discreet, fun and nothing was too much trouble for them. The ship, luxury afloat. The food, so much and so good. Some of the trips were a little expensive, we found it cheaper to deal with the locals.

This is noted is very small print in the book but not in the presentation.) Thus, there's a conflict of interest that the presenter doesn't tell you about and you're lead to believe that these are the "best places" to shop. Fooey!

Embarkation with Celebrity Cruises, Mercury in Vancouver was effortless. we parked about a block away from the terminal and were assisted with bags, etc. Reasonable parking prices. Good security.
Once aboard, we were upgraded to a window room, which we much appreciated in Alaska, as we were never out of sight of land. The views were magnificnet. For Caribbean and Mexican cruises we have always found inside rooms to be more than sufficient. Ship was clean and well-maintained. Children were corra ...
