My dream come true as well, owned a Mercedes C32 amg before, but there is no comparison in performance at all. By far exeeds my limits in cornering and speed. The 996 turbo installs a feeling of confidence straight away after turning the key.- Read Guest's review (43 words)

996TT turned into the dream car a few short months after going back to back with a Ferrari 360. 996TT's stunning performance in a usable everyday package. No fickle temperament, just immense fun every time you turn the key. And in today's climate - what a bargain. Do your homework - buy from a reputable dealer - and take out the manufacturer's extended warranty.- Read reggies996TT's review (88 words)

I purchased the car last June 07 from a main dealer (a must) and I am still smiling. What a great car, use it every day the kids can get into the back and the shopping in the front.Fantasict performance my neighours drives a Lambo and a Ferrai 599 he struggles to leave me.I've completed one of my top five things I must do in my life; own a 911 turbo.- Read electrical's review (97 words)

I have owned my 996tt for 8 months now and in the process I have achieved a life long dream of owning a porsche. There no annoying rattles or creaks and the accelaration is awesome, the wife occasional uses it for shopping and the car is quite happy pottering around town at 30mph.
Before buying the porsche I also looked and tested a Mercedes SL55 AMG which in my opinion is not as much fun drive, or indeed fuel efficient and doesn't turn as many heads.
If you want supercar performance but with ...- Read sgmasey's review (121 words)

Before buying my Porsche Turbo (New Feb 2002), I had owned many different types of car and lived with each for around 6 to 12 months. I still own my Porsche after 6 years of trouble free, thrilling motoring and it still puts a big smile on my face each time I drive it, there is nothing out there better a true 24/7 supercar.- Read Stan Radley's review (85 words and 1 comment)

Tried ALL known super cars and never had the Porsche on the RADAR. But one short drive was more than enough. Truly an everyday SuperCar. My wife drives it during the week and I have the fun at the weekend. The tiptronic gearbox is amazing, making acceleration feel relentless. The peace of mind that the build quality and comfort factor that you will get to your destination is unmeasurable. NO car can get you from A to B as quickly - ALL weathers as well... Try driving any other exotica at full ti ...- Read eifionalun's review (164 words)

I have owned over 20 exotics including about every badge and have never experienced this kind of power. The Porsche 996 911 Turbo Coupe is useable, with this degree of reliability. The car is track ready out of the box- adding an adjustable Ruf suspension and exhaust makes it a race car with a license plate.- Read jpmurphy's review (124 words)

They say: A fantastic sports car, developed for longer than any other car (35 years), means that by the time of the Porsche 996, the 911 was nearing perfection. Some say the new 997 IS perfection.
My humble opinion (based on actually owning one for a year)... 'They' are right. The 911 is pure magic. My 996 still has the power to impress me in different ways with its sheer capability every day. The steering is incredibly sensitive and precise. Be wary, it will change lanes on a fast road if you ...- Read grahamdaws's review (286 words)

I have owned the Porsche 996 911 Turbo Coupe for a few weeks and 500 miles, having bought it second hand through a main dealer - which I would recommend as they seem eager to help, even after the cheque cleared. The motor is fantastic, with both nerve-racking acceleration and braking, should you wish to press either pedal hard. The car is happy driven hard on a motorway or track, or gently around town, and it is not twitchy, as is common with other 400bhp + exotics.
Overall, well engineered, ...- Read andrewmedway's review (237 words)

The Porsche 996 911 Turbo Coupe is a massive but rather controled power tool, the brakes are breath taking and the driving experience is over any description, the exaliration will amaze any experienced driver no matter what else he drives or has driven, with a full understanding that this is a sport and not a comfort saloon car but the confortable spacious front cabinet with all the equipments and fantastic base sound system will make me dare to claim for less noise while driving.- Read sarmad's review (86 words)
